Nigerians Should Learn Anambra Kind Of Politics by OldNairalander(m): 4:09pm On Nov 20, 2022 |
During the Anambra governorship election. A vast majority of Anambrarians campaigned and voted against Peter OBI's candidate. I did my fact finding mission on why PDP is not winning Anambra election despite Obi's influence (who installed APGA in Anambra) and discovered it's because APGA's ideology agrees with Anambra's vision. Other parties can't be trusted. I expected the same Anambra people to rally round the leader of the party they supposedly cherish whether he is right or wrong but unlike the usual Nigerian style of follow your leader politics and support him even when he is wrong. Anambrarians played a unique style of politics. The moment Soludo goofed, they all teamed up and condemned him. I thought it was a social media thing until I made contacts with my friends in the inner caucus of Anambra politics. The moment the leader deviated, he was made to realize that he goofed by his followers. That's the type of politics that will hold our leaders accountable for their actions 4 Likes |

How come no prominent son or daughter of Anambra, no past Governors, Senators House of Representatives members had come out to support Obi Not even one Single Monarch, even FirstClass king like Obi of Onitscha His major critics have always being his very own people . 10 Likes 3 Shares |

DaddyFreeze2020: This has nothing to do with Tinubu... Kwankwaso and Atiku are getting endorsed by people they Govern, their state, Their Monarchs, for co- politicians, people that they have helped Kwankwaso's trained pilots fly him about, people he offered scholarship are all around sponsoring Kwankwasiya movement But to be honest Obi seem to be rejected at home I have read Shekarau and Gandujes report of Kwankwaso non said anything bad, same as former Emir Sanusi and new Emir But Obi has being rubbished by Ngige, Soludo, Uba, Father Mbaka, Rivers State LP Guber candidate, even Victor Umeh 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Moh247: All these narrative doesn't affect his votes and growing support base in the far North. You're the one always wasting time on Nairaland doing explanations. Let February election reach. INEC is also preparing for a runoff which may likely occur between Obi and Atiku. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Obi kind of politics does not favor corrupt politicians who wants to benefit at the expense of the masses. Why will they support a man that would prevent them from corruptly enriching themselves? Moh247: 1 Like |

OldNairalander: No, it won’t work. Nigerians prefer Baba Sope kind of politics where the leader is right no matter how bad he goofs. That’s why they chaired Buhari on despite his obvious failure. Now they are chairing Tinubu on even though he’s old and weak. 4 Likes |

Politics that doesn't improve people's lives and the progress of the State is not worth learning. |

Moh247: The reason why Chris Ngige , Orji Uzor Kalu , George Muoghalu and Ogbonnaya Onu were not included in Tinubu campaign council is because they are secretly supporting Peter Obi. Senator Victor Umeh ( former APGA senator) , Valentine Ozigbo( former PDP guber candidate) , Hon. Tony Nwoye ( House of rep. Member), Oseloka Obaze , Obinna Uzor and many other political stakeholders across different parties all decamped with Peter Obi to Labour party in Anambra. Many of those that couldn't decamp to LP are silently working for Obi. The number of traditional rulers supporting Peter Obi in Anambra is more than 100. Hence you can tell another lie. This one does not make sense at all. 1 Like |
