Good day everyone , please I have a question I want to ask that is bothering me ......what will happen if the approval date expired before the nvc send you the case number because according to some people that receive there own..., some receive there own on 43days , 52days ,2 months and 3months ....what will happen if you didn't receive it before the approval expired date ....any solution for that ...thanks

Hello, yes, I am experiencing the same thing.
Status changed to Application Received on the 14th of Nov and has not changed to anything else since then.

My CGI today shows "Document Delivery Information" from "Your passport is still at US Embassy bla bla"

No mail for pick up, no status update, Call centre claims they don't have access to track

Your case will be updated again this week and you should receive your visa this week as well.
I guess your case will be in the final processing stage by now coz all cases passes through document delivery information stage as the last stage and the next thing will be “ready for pick up”.
Let’s be calm, this week will be good.

The validity is four months so you will receive it before it elapsed.

But you will hear from nvc before January I think that’s more important.
And anytime you hear from them just act fast and join the queue to get yourself interview date coz if you don’t be part of the next batch no one knows when they will bring up more dates.

For those that their CGI status was showing blank Documents Delivery Information yesterday try to check today, some have showed Passport ready for pick up today from blanked delivery info from yesterday.

They don’t provide interview date for K1
You’re to pick interview date yourself whenever it is available.
Your case will be ready for interview in few days if not Friday it will be Monday coz there’s public holiday in the US on Thursday for thanksgiving.
Go to GTB and pay the MRV fee
Create cgi account and check for interview date. Some people got date today, if it is still available then its your luck but I doubt it and if not then you have to wait until when date will be available again.
You can start filling your ds160 and submit anytime you like but before your interview date.
You can start arranging your paperwork for interview and start preparing yourself, earlier preparation builds confidence and helps.

I picked up my passport with my visa this morning my interview was November 10th, see below how it went:

I was interviewed by the same black male consular that was asking a lot of questions that looks like drilling, I was saying to myself that I don’t wish to be called by him though but after all questions and verification he approved me.

Questions:
1. Have you ever lived in another country for more than six months?
2. Have you committed a crime before?
3. Who’s your petitioner?
4. How many times has she visited?
5. How do you meet her ?
6. When I said Facebook he asked me how I found her, was I just searching for people on Facebook? I said Fb brought her page for me as ppl you may know then he started questioning about mutual friend and I was able to scale through.
7. Tell me about your fiancé ?
8. Then he paused me and started questioning about her kids.
9. What does she do ?
10. What do you do ?
11. Where do you work ?
12. Have you given her money before? Like financial support? Thank God that there was a time I supported her with a token through cash app so I printed the receipt with me and I was able to tell him with confidence that yes I have helped her before and I have the prove here with me, though he did not ask for prove.
13. Is that the only time you helped her ? I said and many other time that she visited I took her out and pay the bills.
14. He took my attestation of birth and show me an error that could have caused a problem, on attestation my mother’s first name is Taiwo and on petition it is Taiye but I had to keep telling him that they are both the same name and meaning in Yoruba culture but I shake small o coz the guy really worry me on that.
15. When did you both started talking?
16. Where did she stay during her visits ?

Lastly, he asked for divorce decree and he then said congratulations.

A lot of people were approved that day but only two people that I know of got denied because of just a little error, one was error of signature and money sent to his fiancé and the other is irregular answers or not sure.
Prepare well and early enough, those guys are ready to approve as well as ready to deny.

It went from application received the same day of interview, turns approved last week Wednesday and issued on Friday then available for pick up yesterday.
If your status still showing application received then they may be doing some verification and working on your documents which is what they do for everyone and some may be faster than others. I believe your status will change to approved and issued any moment from now.

Congratulations! For some reason, I thought you were already in the US—maybe the advises you give lol. Wishing you the best as you start the US journey
