Theyoungmaster:This isn't shocking yet, wait until you send them the $900 and see if you and Buhari won't be needing the same shock absorbers. Best Advice, Count Your Losses and Format Your PC before you start keeping it's signatures in your online accounts and flash drives. |

Theyoungmaster: was this on a hosting server or personal PC ? What I would suggest is, depending on how important those files are, better to just restore a backup (if you have) or just forget about it. Except of course, you easily could afford $900 without breaking a sweat. There's no guarantee those holding your files to RANSOME would keep to their words after collecting your $900. After now, if you engage in any of the following, kindly desist or at least use separate machine for such 1. Visiting / Watching / Downloading PORN 2. Downloading / Using nulled/hacked softwares/scripts 3. Opening / Clicking any link contained in emails / pop-up window or ad without confirming their source/authenticity. Use AD Blockers to limit ADs. Legitimate websites rarely use popUp ADs to begin with. 4. P2P (peer to peer) file sharing sites, including Torrent sites. Spyware / Ransomware could easily be disguised as scripts, music, movies, softwares, etc. 5. Phishing emails that contain malicious attachments / links 1 Like |
