Nice one .
You should get a pipe wrench.. the last shower I changed didn't work with pliers as my first alternative grin

And sometimes you don't need to change everything completely too, you just change the particular part leaking and keep the rest for future use.. smiley

You are right. The pliers gave me a little challenge but then I didn't have pipe wrench.

Yea, I just changed the faulty tap and kept the others for future use.

Thank you.

You inspire me!

I have the exact tap in my bathroom and interestingly, it is leaking. I have pliers and screw driver. I will get the tap head and do this over the weekend

The professionals here said it will be better to use a pipe wrench instead of pliers which I agree cos the pliers gave me a bit of a challenge.

You might consider getting a pipe wrench with the tap head for easier process.

So my plumber disappointed by not showing up, I had to fix my daughter's bathroom dripping leaking double tap myself.
It was not as hard as expected, I just had to understand the process. I also took pictures of the old tap and its components which helped me to assemble the new one with some ease.

This video details the process of dismantling a faulty tap and coupling a new one. We can achieve anything if we put our mind to it.

Don't we all love a woman who is handy?

So you are not just a good cook, but also a handywoman. Thumbs up to you.

And "plumber" is pronounced with the "b" silent. Now you can be a great cook, handywoman, and a grammarian among a host of other undisclosed skills.

This is very impressive and instructive, I can bet you not every man can do what you did. Those bad mouthing you, are not wise, what can deliver them from foolish is wisdom, learn and appreciate good thing. If I get the video correctly she said her plumber disappointed her, hence the motivation to do it herself, what is difficult to understand what she said This video has lessons to learn, instead of spewing trash out of hatred and frustration.

LESSONS
1. You never know what you can do until you try.
2. People's disappointment in life is not final, you determine its finality.
3. There is no limit to what you can do, your sex is not a barrier.
4. No one has a monopoly of knowledge.
5. You get better as you keep trying.
6. Shared knowledge gives you confidence and mastery.
7. When you follow the same process you get the same result, be delibrate with details.

She actually did what a man can do. No every man can do what she did. Good work, keep it up, i like the part that after it all you still involved an expert to scrutinize your work. Kudos

Reminds me that I have to consolidate plans to teach my daughter basic gen maintenance. It is difficult to move away from stereotypical behaviour

Hahhaahahhaaa, that silent 'b' in plumber you noted reminds me of my husband. When he is listening in to when am making a video, he wants perfect English (using the right tenses and all)
And I will tell him am teaching people how to cook not how to speak English grin grin grin
Oga will insist ooooooo

It's not funny sometimes but we will always laugh over it afterwards.

Thank you so much, I will keep trying to become a better version of me.

That will be very okay, there are some things i wished i had known how to fix myself. I didn't pay attention until i started living alone. I remember the day i fell cry but thats even small to having to spend unnecessary money or getting exposed to vultures in guys form lipsrsealed

You are right. My pliers couldn't do a thing. I called a plumber who will come in after service tomorrow

Yea, I came to realise that no skill is a waste.
It's only a matter of time before people start rushing your services as long as you are good.
