This is already a group here with ready access to anyone willing to open a free account.
What efforts will be directed to any other group that can't be directed here?
What difference would it make?
And why spread out already thin resources over a larger surface area?

Good morning all.

I was just thinking aloud, would it make sense if we created a WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc group solely for RENEWABLE ENERGY Platform for Nigeria and it's Environs?

I foresee a lot of benefits in doing so which includes but not limited to:

> Job creation throughout renewable energy industries.
> We can become role players in the Renewable Energy Sector and not just DIY customers of Importers.
> Ability to screen or filter out fake renewable energy products flooding our markets by boycotting them totally and advising the public on which products are genuine or not.
> Ability to have a GOD FEERING PRICES of Renewable Energy Products from importers and franchise holders.

You can add to the list.

I strongly believe that someday we should be able to compete with other countries in this RNEWABLE ENERGY as an alternative to grid power struggle. Because our sun is just burning our skins and wasting away. Most of the countries where these inverters are made don't even have up to 5 sun hours daily throughout the year. And yet we are depending on them to manufacture for us to scamper.

Let's think this through and pen down our thoughts here.

Thank you.

To me WhatsApp group for the regular members is a welcome idea... For security reasons and many other reason. WhatsApp group is fair. It will make number sharing easier, image sharing also and more

Doesn't sound like it follows to me.
- You want to open the community to the whole nigeria and environs? But you want to have a whastapp group with limited number of members, where you need to provide possible identifying details like a phone number but for security reasons you want it to be members only??

- Images can be shared on here

- More? What is more?

I can see you have been answered. An appropriately sized regular knife switch will do.
I had three inverters connected at a point:
(1) 6kw transformer based
(2) 3.4kva hybrid Gennex
(3) 1.4kva Sukam
all to a 24v 800amp sealed battery setup.
The 6kva carry the whole house- ACs ,oven etc .Only used occasionally.
The 3.4kva is the workhorse. On during the day, fridge and pumping machine on timer on it.
In case the 3.4kva is faulty, the 1.4kva Sukam comes on board as backup to provide power for basic household needs.
All the inverters are permanently connected but 1and 3 usually switched off. Inverter 1 and 2 AC output goes to one Changeover and the output of that and inverter 3 goes to another changeover before finally to the DB for inverter and then to the house.
There is a however a direct wiring between inverter 1 to the main house DB so that the whole house is supplied .
I also have a standalone 60amp MPPT Cc connected to my battery bank to ensure adequate charging of my bank

u will still need 3 inverters when you have DEYE 10kva inverter?

Help Needed

I have an Axpert (Easun 3kv Hybrid inverter).

It normally goes off in the evening when the sun is out but till now today (almost 9pm) its still showing solar charging and the fan is on.

Has anyone experienced this?
Is there anyway to reset this type of inverter?
Would it be OK to turn off the battery breaker so it goes off and maybe starts normally in the morning (I know they usually say everything must be disconnected before battery)?

thats a fault situation.
disconnect it from battery either by turning of the battery supply breaker or manually disconnecting one of the battery terminals for about 30secs to 350secs and reconnect

If you have a PV breaker, you could trip it first then the battery, otherwise you could've done it at night when there wasn't any solar input.
And if you don't have a PV breaker you should introduce one.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by durodee(m): 8:54am On Nov 26, 2022
Please clarify your comment/ question so I can get you better. Definitely one does not need to have 3 inverters. I explained why I set mine up like that. I started my setup small with the Sukham and it got bigger with time. I just didn't want them lying fallow when I could put them to good use grin

the inverter was still showing solar charging by 9pm cheesy
I just turned everything off though then turned them back on this morning.

It's done this once some weeks back when I connected it to grid to charge I'm suspecting the fault is from there so I disconnected the grid connection too as I barely use that.

Hello guys, i noticed something recently. Power from the national grid cools my mini fridge x3 faster than my 1,000w psw inverter.

The freezer compartment seems to be working ok but the fridge area isn't as cool as the freezer compartment. I think Maybe because it's a fridge or because my own inverter is an el cheapo. What do you think guys? Should i go for a freezer? or is this a normal occurrence.

your inverter is very much likely a glorified modified sine wave, labeled as pure sine wave.

Seconded! And if care is not taken, the MSW will ultimately spoil the fridge.

many of these cheap 12v/24v inverters in the market are actually modified sine wave masquerading as pure sine wave.. Nigeria needs a lot of regulation. fake inverters, fake battery with fake capacity, fake panels with over declared capacity, even fake copper wire and breakers . cry

hello

please how many Amps is the power generated by a good 300 Watts solar panel on the average?

Thanks for the recommendation Sir! We don't take it for granted. The truth is that there is a great number of people whose basic power needs can be met by our small power solution but they are mainly ill-informed or lost in the crowd. Alternative energy is a game changer but a lot are still not well educated about it all.

Ready to serve!

National grid vs generator no be mate
Let alone inverter. Connect a charger to National grid of 220v and compare it with a roughly 3kva generator, u will notice that the power of national grid is greater.

No b everything be fake.

Is like comparing a power bank charging system to charger head from 220v to 5v source. Dem no be mate.

You are not totally right bro.
Even the power from the national grid is obtained from a generator!

A power bank with true usb power delivery or quick charge 3.0 or the typical 5v 2A will perform equally well as it's 220v counterparts!

Compare a good power bank charging system with an equivalent 220v counterpart as you would compare a good pure sine inverter with output with the national grid... I'll feel more relaxed (safe) with my appliances running on the inverter tho grin
