Illegal by government kwa? It's logistics na. If most of the principal officers and security etc are going to be at the rally, why should they open the market? Who would account for whatever happens there? It's the level we're in Nigeria, it's not a new thing. Nobody is forced to rally, you can rest at home.

The relevant question to ask, is it within lagos govt power/right to shutdown any premises within her territory.

sometimes this year, ladipo/alaba union closedown the market and force their members to go collect PVC, in as much as the market union are on the same page with the govt ..

Even if lagos state govt decides to shut down the market for rally, you can only force the horse to the stream whoever that does not want to attend the rally has the exclusive right to stay back/indoor.

Recently saudi declared public holiday because they beat argentina, dunno about iran , so lets call it a public holiday grin

Market is closed doesn't mean some people are not in the market selling, if you doubt come to Mushin Ojuwoye or go to Ladipo, you will see people selling

Why will the market be closed in the first place?

Your further assertion that some people still go around bro sell doesn't hold waters. The market should never be closed because of mere political rally, where in the world does that happen?

In this part of the world we are always quick to make assertion to justify inhumane political decisions that is why it will take a long way for things to go the right way.

Citizens aren't ready to hold those Governing accountable for their actions.

Something I have noticed about APC supporters is that they just see this whole thing as banter. When they respond in the usual illogical way, they most time put some yeye emogi at the end.

Being an APC urchin as yourself, the concept of being morally right is lost on you.

If you had the opportunity to travel abroad and spend some time. You would have discovered that Politicians are sacked, forced to resign or lose elections for doing things that are within their executive right but are morally wrong.

You are probably too young to remember military rule but the army operated like the APC, they did whatever they wanted.

Nigerians with the help of God retired them and so shall we do the same to APC beginning with next election.

APC will eventually return to a regional party like APGA which is all it is cut out for. A few APC states in the SW and a few APC states in the core North.

Your party lacks the mentality to govern a country like Nigeria in the 21st century. It's a party of crass mediocrity.

Not one of the current ministers in this govt has a record of excellence anywhere.

That is why incompetence is now our National Identity.

Look at the ugly new Naira.

Wonderful Lagos market folks willingly and gladly locked their shops to exercise their constitutional rights to freedom of choice and association by going to the rally to support the candidate of their choice, but this kindergarten jollof loser is spewing rubbish that they locked the markets ,


People are at the rally joyfully and happily celebrating, they are not crying or wailing that they closed the markets..


These clowns just cannot respect other people's rights..

I wonder how some Nigerians reason. How many times have you heard somewhere abroad that the even a sitting president shut down a place for his campaign? Even Buhari who is the most powerful man in Nigeria, had never shut down any man's business for his political rally.
Government does not declare public holiday for private reasons. Presidential rally of a party is private to the candidate.

Shutting down a market for private reason because you feel you have the power is an abuse of office and tyranny at its peak.

Maybe one day, Sanwo olu will shut down Lagos Ibadan Expressway because his daughter is getting married and fools will still reasons to defend him
