Yes they were part of southern Nigeria but sensing the British plan to create eastern region decided to opt out

We share a common border with Benue through Cross River and the Obudu and Ogoja all have cultural ties to the Tivi and Eigede people.

Taraba is also supposed to be part of the south just as western Cameroun until Igbo idiots drove them away.

Maybe Nigeria should make a deal to settle the Igbo's in a huge land mass in DRC Congo. South East is too small for them and DRC is big enough and not well run. Igbo's can populate there and turn it into Wakanda.

South Congo should be good. They will have have Tanzania, Angola and Zambia as neighbors and also have access to the sea. Igbo's, what do you think? I'm almost jealous. This suggestion already make me miss them. Lol

Igbos rely on human development indexes to thrive, not natural resources that you have no idea how they are mined. Igbos will prosper with or without oil.

You do know that Abia, Imo and Anambra States are all oil producing states dont you?

You do know that it was a Northerner called Gowon who abolished the four Regions we had and created 12 states dont you?

You do know subsequent Northerners that came after Gowon, subdivided the States Gowon created until we go 36 states?

If you dont know these things then you know nothing
He even thinks there is something called SS grin grin There is nothing like SS. What we have is the east. And all the whole states in the Se and SS are all in one region the east.

Trash

Then why are Igbo politicians been in the forefront kicking against more derivation to oil producing states ?

Why would any Igbo politician be against increased derivation when Abia, Imo and Anambra are oil producing , with Enugu getting ready to join soon? Nobody takes food out of their mouth for no reason

Why are Igbo politicians always silent when the topic of restructuring is brought up ?

Because they know restructuring cannot be achieved in Nigeria, the North is against it, and they were not elected to fight the North

Why did Zik warn Igbo MPs in Enugu that allowing the minority people to leave the eastern region will see to the eastern region become the poorest?

I dont know if Zik said that but the minorities have since left the Eastern Region over 50 years now and the recent porverty index put them as more poor than the South East despite their oil wealth. In the entire South/South, not one single city can boast of being more developed as the city of Onitsha. One wonders what the oil money did for them

Why did Ojukwu annex the minority region and seceded with them to form his rogue nation Biafra ?

Poor student of history. Go and Google the Eastern Nigeria consultative forum and you will know that all parts of the old Eastern Region voted and gave Ojukwu the mandate to declare Biafra. Infact, an Ijaw man called Frank Opigo came up with the name "Biafra"

Your parasitism is by far the worse .

At least the north feeds the nation .

What exactly do you bring to the table other than to covet other peoples lands and resources

As I said, get ready for full return back to pre Ironsi Nigeria.

The North feeds nobody, we all buy our food with our hard earned money. If anything, we provide the North with the market to sell their agricultural products. If the North has no food tomorrow, we buy from other countries and other places. A person with money never goes hungry

As for Igbos like me, we dont want to be with you. Thats why we want a referendum conducted so we can go. It is you people and your useless "one Nigeria" that is holding on to us

The north will be tabling a demand to return to regional assembly as to what was the norm at independence prior to the Igbo coup and Igbo forced unification decree 34.

The north will be pushing for regional govts along the current geopolitical zones thereby seeing to the creation of three regions with less emphasis on a powerful centrist govt.

This will see to the creation of NW, NE, NC , SW, SS and SE regions

This system will call for true fiscal autonomy where each region handles its affairs and resources without federal meddling.

The discovery of oil in the NE and huge deposits of nickel in Kaduna as well as gold in Zamfara are reasons why the north is now canvassing for such an arrangement.

Other regions are more than happy to go along with this proposed restructuring other than the SE which has been thrown into panic as the region depends largely on federal handouts to survive and with no resources to fall back to, SE politicians are now rightly worried that such a proposal will compound the ongoing restiveness in the region. It is for this reason, the SE is demanding to be included into the SS region.

Parasites.

Lol, I laugh in Swahili, that you have penis doesn't mean that your very good in bed and that your a body builder doesn't mean that your strong.

And why was this not allowed to be replicated in the old eastern region despite repeated calls by minority members at Enugu calling for a referendum ?

A Yoruba man moved the motion in Ibadan for a call for referendum to be carried out in the mid west provinces to determine if they wanted to be on their own.

Was this the case in Enugu ?

This is the same disorderly Igbo dominated house that saw to western Cametoun opting to leave Nigeria than remain under Igbo overbearing dominance.

Why did Benue province refuse to be part of southern Nigeria after it was learnt that the British intended to create eastern and western Nigeria regions ?

The Benue people decided it was better to be part of the north than fall under the same region with igbos

This is the pathetic truth about you Igbos.

First Benue, then western Cameroon, then Niger Delta peoples.

All wanted nothing to do with you.

The Willink's Commission didn't find the Eastern region government culpable of any partiality or did it? The answer is NO. The recommendation of that commission is online for all to read. No amount of lies you write against us will stand.
If Gowon was sincere about creating states strictly for minorities in the Eastern region, why did he cut huge chunks of Igbo clans and added them to the various SS states? From Cross River State down to River State has many Igbo groups put into them. The subsequent boundary adjustment done especially the Mamman Nasir Commission came and did worst by cutting off more Igbo territories and added them to the so called minority states. Is that the justice you're talking about? You must be very mad to assume that we will accept such a boundary. We know our people and the extent of our land. You and your likes can never stop us.
