As Africans, it is imperative that we understand that to be consistent or effective in any activities be it leadership, sports, health and our environment infrastructure there must be a method. A consistent routine and pattern of doing things.... Unfortunately, we do not develop football development across Africa or in any activities of our life.. How then do you expect to grow and be part of the civilised world? The average African passionately supports a foreign team based in England, Spain or Italy.. Yet, we are surprise African teams do badly when there is no coaching, structure or established pattern of play..
Established footballing playing countries have well defined football method/approach. You just do not put 11players on the field with no function or job task..
We need to go back to grass root local football and build from there.. Start with simple things.. Learn to pass the ball to the next person, pass to space, marking and position yourself as an individual and as team when the opponent is in possession of the ball.
We should teach young prospective players to learn to play chess or draft.. It HELPS with reasoning, thinking on impulse and calm respond to counter attack..
Most of us struggle with resilient and have poor coping skills because we fail to plan and preempt all possible scenarios..
I wish the Africans coaches well and hope there are able to work with local coaches on a football formula that is unique to a region, club or country.. The Dutch football philosophy is different from Spain, Brazil, or Croatia.. However, something is clear from this game and Senegal game that football is not just physical attributes, skills. You require tactics and psychologically awareness as well especially when your opponent exploits your area of weakness.
Cameron team lacked basis football principles.. Keep ball, do not loose possession, progression as a team and positioning..
No point kicking long ball when opponents are taller than you and better in the air...

Anguissa has been awesome so far this season... He has earned his place as a regular starter. Same with Choupo-Moting.

Cameroon team is just not gelling.
