Babangida was magnanimous to have completed 3rd mainland bridge without one single toll gate on it.

The toll gate income will be shared by the Chinese builders of the project and the Lagos State government treasury. Without the income stream from those toll gates, there can be no new bridge construction simply on account of the project's enormity.

For your information no one man built Lagos, Lagos was the capital territory of Nigeria and because of that all economic activities was brought here by the federal government. And mind you Lagos would have been more open than this if not for the greed of some men. Lagos is just an advanced slum and village if compared to other cities with the financial capacity of Lagos state, and Nigeria is just an advanced jungle if compared to other countries with the financial capacity of Nigeria.

The consortium building this Bridge will be foreign meaning we do not have the Engineering personnel or know-how to execute these type of projects, start to finish, indigenously and independently.

The government won't stop fixing road and will always fix road as road construction don't last more than 5 years b4 it start decaying due to heavy usage and haulage that causes several accidents damaging our roads, dis 4th mainland will serve as alternative and reduces traffic
