I think it's very possible for a particular school to request for a tuition deposit for as low as $500 CAD.

For example, University of Calgary requested a $500 CAD as tuition deposit from me for a September 2023 program. The only problem is that there application fee is kinda expensive though.
Please when did they give you admission?. I applied to university of Calgary for fall 2023 since semptember for mechanical engineering MEng and up till date no decision.

Ohh,
Well, I applied sometime around 1st week of October and they gave me admission on the 22nd of November.
However, I only paid for the $500 acceptance fee just to secure the admission in case I decide to go to the school in the future because I already applied for study permit using another admission from another school.

Good day everyone, I need advice concerning POF please. I have a balance of 11m in my account and I am going for a 2 year course. My Tuition is 17075, and I paid 2500 cad, though my school doesn't require Tuition deposit. Obviously my 11m is not enough for 2 years, I want to ask if my 2 brothers can sponsor me for the second year, or I self sponsored myself and explain how I will pay for the second year fees.
Please kindly respond

Question? Do you get notified on your email that decision has been made or you guys logged into your portal to see the update?
Which comes first? Abeg

You will be notified via email and that makes it nerve racking. U will be fast and slow to open your portal at the same time lol. It's not a nice feeling until you see *original passport request*

Good day everyone, I have some questions regarding form A.
How long does form A take to process now?
If your bank wants to debit the Naira equivalent from your bank account and they don’t find the money there, do they mail you to credit your account or they just cancel it?
Thank you all.

Within 60days
Your application will be denied and in most cases you will apply again and rejoin the queue.

Yes it is very possible but that’s with universities and community colleges, I stand to be corrected.

And when asked to pay $500 do you pay less? In his case he asked if it was possible to pay less than the $8k for tuition deposit.

I know of Durham because I’m a student too that was why I said to him I don’t think Durham will request for $500 for tuition deposit. And by the way, that’s their administrative fee when one requests for a refund.

Peace

Got a refusal on Nov 28th

Application submitted - - November 15th
Biometrics collection letter --November 16th
Biometrics date -- November 21th
Biometric completed--November 21th
No info about medical
Going for a year PGD course at Geogian college
School Resumption date - May 2023

Refusal reason-- Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family)

I submitted POF of 20m, Inflow outflow of 40m

What could be wrong?

So sorry about the refusal, good thing it came in quick so they don’t keep wasting time and still refuse.

Did you make tuition deposit?

Hi,

So sorry about your refusal. There could be a number of factors responsible for this.

- Are you self sponsored or sponsored by immediate family member or third party?
- How many years work experience do you have and did you show proof of income?

Sorry for the denial . Address the reasons for denial and refire .. it will end in praise !

In other news, You guys that submitted in November are getting quick response.. seems ircc increased their staff strength and applications submitted in November filtered into the system of new VOs that don’t have back log of apps on their system

We are processing your background check . We will send you a message if we need more information.

Is this a generic message the background processing shows when form is submitted or it changes to this message when the application background check starts ?

Yup, your brothers can definitely sponsor you.
Just make sure you get sponsorship letters from them, make sure their financials do not raise any red flags and you also put your own account statement too.

Then explain in detail how payments and financing will be made. If possible, have them both do gift deeds to you.
Wish you all the best.

But to answer your question, Yes. You can still do "CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT"

So I think I'd allow others comment on this. The career progression from a Masters degree to a PGC not even a PGD might be somewhat off.
I'm not sure if excluding your Masters degree from your application would help either because they would see your travel history during info sharing and they might see you were on a study visa too.

I'm really not sure about all these so take my statements with a pinch of salt. Let others comment also.
