What about the 4-2 win against Argentina?
Has Senegal defeated Brazil and Argentina before in any competition?
Name how many we have played outside Brazil and Argentina and lost? And how many Senegal has played and won?
Nomyth:

Don't even go there.

Our record against south American teams at u 20 is even more woeful.

Our best performance was Just a draw (against Brazil 2005)

Others have been losses.

I already mentioned I expected Denmark to pull through alongside France. And more than that, I expected more from them and rightly so.

I never expected Australia to qualify but I pointed out that TheGoodJoe is right about their brave approach in certain phases of the game. Even he didn't predict their qualification. No one here did.

So much about all our players from top 5 league. Australia with players from the lower leagues are in the second round of the world cup.
I hope Nigeria learns from this and focus on our midfield and team work. We need to be well coached and work on our midfield and defence

The point is he was right about Australia's brave approach despite not having the star power of France.

Like TheGoodJoe said... the Problem with you lots are many. You want to be right even when you haven't said anything of substance. And you are all result-oriented without understanding the intricacies of team plays.

I already owned up to Australia shocking me... but I trust I am not the only one. Not even you or anyone thought Australia could go through. So rest.

So much about all our players having to come from a top 5 league. Australia are in the second round of the world cup with average players from low leagues.
They were well coached. Hope Nigeria learns a lesson from this and focus on our midfield and team work.

Gutwrenching stuff!

Supported!

If the NFF cannot afford a decent foreign coach then the team should be entrusted to a qualified Nigerian.
He should be given a free hand to work devoid of interference.
He should be given a 4-5 year contract to rebuild a team that can compete favourably with other countries at the world stage.

That's it. Mexico is done. Conceding kills any aspirations they had to qualify via GD. Congrats to Poland and the Argies.

Even if Mexico hadn't conceeded and the game finished KSA 0-2 Mex (and the other game stayed as it finished) they would have finished 3rd still.

In this scenario, they would have the same GD with Poland. Both side also would boast same number of goals scored.

Poland were ahead, sitting second on fairplay points due to accumulating lesser yellows than Mexico.

Fairplay would have been the decider and Poland had the edge there already.

You can bet we won't.

Folks here are still not ready to accept the Truth.

The day we truly begin considering team selections based on actual player quality FIRST before where they play is the day we would begin to see true changes in the team's technical and tactical outlook.

Also, we need a real coach. A true technical mind NOT some lazy journeyman.

Another Banger coming tomorrow. All teams un Spain's group cam still advance mathematically but I still expect Spain and Germany to pull through. Morocco better not fall hand o, Canada would want to bow out with a win so Morocco must avoid a defeat at all costs. With the wa Belgium has been playing, Croatia should be able to kick them out.

They should tell the boy in the link below to focus on improving his stamina and ball movement on grass and ball handling..

He should not focus mainly on joggling the ball..

The channel is a Brazilian or Portuguese channel I could be wrong.

But in this video I am 100% sure I heard them speaking Yoruba..

the boy should focus on his speed and if anyone knows where this video happened they should make it public here at least.

When the desirable is not available the available becomes desirable.

Australia simply doesn't have a good number of quality players in the top Leagues of Europe.

If they did they would select them.

You can use hard work and determination to overcome a team with better talent and quality .

Pulisic is injured. If he fails to play there's no way the United States will defeat the Dutch. USA simply lacks the talent upfront!

You talk about midfield
No one is talking about the fact that we’ve not had a reliable goalie. It’s been obvious for about a year now.
Instead of us to rebuild after losing out on the World Cup we still invite the same set of players.
The nations cup against Tunisia and the World Cup qualifier against Ghana exposed this.
Similar tactic used to breach our defense.
We’ve not had a top notch goalie since Carl Ikeme in my opinion

Alright, thanks.
Right now I think the semi’s is already sure for Argentina and with what I’m seeing, Argentina will gets to the semis without conceding to Australia and then USA/Netherlands and if they defends very well they can use counter to beat the Spanish side if it’s a Argentina vs Spain semi’s

Brazil will play against Spain to determine who will face Argentina. Spain for me understands Messi pattern of game compared to Brazil. However, I believe Spain will beat Brazil because Spain are going to stretch out those lively Brazilian players and deprive them of their fast style.

Argentina on the other hand, I just honestly hope they'll try to defeat Spain
