A very senior banking officer in my former place of work. Who earns between 700k. Resign, sold some of his property to finance his travel.. today my former colleague is doing two jobs just to be able to take care of his family... The quality of his life there, can not be compared to when he was here... It's damn easier to make it here...take a personal vacation/business vacation to this country and get your brain refresh with new ideas.
Any idea u bring back is a new thing... That can make you more more money..

Please don't blame anyone who Japa, they are paying that sacrifice for their future. When we were small, the story is naija go better, but it is getting even worse. Insecurity on the high such we haven't seen before, hunger a norm(an hungry man is an angry). Let me shock you, a friend of mine relocated to the UK, despite the sacrifice, got job immediately, wife was given a work permit, she got job as well. What fascinated me was that the government mandated them to medical check for their child, and additional vaccines(not covid) were administer and a care person was assign to monitor the growth of that child. In one to two years all their debt will be paid and they can get job in the profession as well
Imagine, in naija, young lives and talents are wasted everyday, our leaders show no empathy or sympathy. A little headache,they japa for medical. I know of people who got jobs directly and they just have to find their way to the UK and get back all their expenses. No be only study ooo. You have peace of mind, food is very cheap, you will be surprised what 5pound will buy. It is a pain that is worth it. If you have the opportunity please japa. Imagine the doctor that wad killed in the train highjack, end Sars (even some naija people still dey defend bad things like this because of party affliation and what they want to eat) hunger. I rest my case.
If God say make you wait in naija, then stay, He will make a way. But if u dey form up and down, i pity your condition

The cost of gas has gone up so bloody high. my house is in the countryside a house with a large garden a 3 acres of empty farm land, i even catch Rabbits, Deer or go shooting for Antelopes, there is also a long miles of beach and me and my 10 years old son go fishing and crabbing sometimes.. i cook fresh fish, meat and crabs all the time.

Lol. Definitely not a "very senior bank(er)." Besides, 700k today is not a globally competitive salary, even when you factor in our relatively 'cheap' cost of living.

Yes, Eric! How much do ya think it cost to get a HGV class 1 license? You d be looking at £4k minimum and if you fail, you pay again. I am even looking to see if i can be a train driver that one is like £55k, but the training isn't easy..

When i was driving bin lorry working with my local council in London i used to clear atleast £38k with overtime a year that was even like 7 years ago.
