Upfront medical = 19 July 2022

Application submitted = 04 August 2022

Biometric = 04 August 2022 and updated same day immidietly

Program deferred = 13 September 2022

IRCC notified of program deferred and complained about medical not updated = 14 September 2022

Request from IRCC to send e-medical form = 14 September 2022

Medical passed = 14 September 2022 (This shows they can process an application within a day but just doing what suits them).

Series webforms and emails at 6am Nigerian on daily basis since last week Monday.

So sorry about this. Do not give up, when your GCMS arrives, tackle VO’s concerns and refire.

That maintenance upkeep, have you seen someone who has used it. I don't think that shit works

Yea I have. it's usually credited to your preferred destination account from your Naira account at bank rate unlike black market where you collect cash as e dey hot.
The only downside is the time it takes to process cos it's form A.

Someone should please advice me on this. Thanks in advance

I want to book a medical appointment at IOM but I've been getting this error from their website which is preventing me from checking the available dates.
Do I email IOM attaching my medical request form ie IMM 1017 requesting to get scheduled for a date or how do I go about this.
Which is better, IOM or Q-life?
Q-life also does have an available slot for this month.

this year alone i have seen 3 go fund me by Nigerian students in Canada doing bsc. My parents cant pay my fees , economics hardship etc. on this same nairaland there was a man earning less than 300k that wanted to send his son for bsc in Canada. Why do people do this to themselves. Abeg do your bsc in Nigeria and post graduate abroad. At least it usually one time payment.

For those already in Canada or with relevant information, please help me with this.
If I have naira in my account here in Nigeria, how can I exchange it for USD or CAD in Canada?

Use LemonadefinanceApp, once you get here the process is pretty easy. Alternatively, you can also apply for maintenance/Upkeep using form A which may take many weeks to be approved.

Send an email to IOM at iomabujamedicalbooking@iom.int
If you prefer Abuja or to their Lagos email, let them know you want to book an appointment for medical assessment. They will reply you with the information to provide.

Oh okay thanks. That is almost 8hours after . I just want to be sure if their is nothing wrong with them again because the wait is frustrating and their tactics are intentional. The delays is also intentional in most cases. They can actually review applications within 1 day they are just using tactics to frustrate applicants so that many will give up on their applications . I advice those who are still waiting to keep bombarding them with emails . Send emails only if your application has exceeded timeline. Also call them out on Twitter. I called their minister out on Twitter to either approve me or deny coz it’s affecting some of my plans. I have german appointment for studies which I am about to go for and also other things . Somehow their delays disrupted several plans

1 Canadian dollar is equal to 150 naira in 2014 compared 2022 @ current cbn rate 330 .
While there has been increase in tuition fees in Canadian public schools since 2014 and also he got 50% off for 2nd year on cheaper tuition fee in 2014 compared to 2022 tuition fees there is marginal difference..even scarcity of foreign currency at official rate to pay first year school is also a challenge at least you can do the math from here...

Hello,
Yes I am having similar issues. Submitted my passport on the 27th October 2022. I got vfs notification saying my processed passport has been sent to VAC Abuja office on the 17th November 2022 and till now it hasn’t been returned. Any update from anyone?

Nothing yet. When I try to contact VFS Global they say it’s still in process. The painful part is I already bought a ticket for 1st of December also made a CAD250 deposit for accommodation. I did all this to avoid high festive season prices now I have to pay extra to reschedule my flight, I have started classes online since September that’s the reason for the rush. It’s hard having classes and assessments online considering network connectivity issues. I’ve really taken a lot of losses. I’m livid and I think they are being nonchalant with the whole situation. If everything went on along normal processing times I would be traveling today now all my proactive plans are for nothing. Just a waste of money. Who will cover all this losses ? Na me Bleep up sha.

I can imagine how you feel. It doesn't make any sense to withhold one's passport for this long. After all the trouble to get PPR.

However , u won’t be stranded..good grades would get u a scholarship, financial aid is also there . And if u knw u ain’t good academically den u hv to be able to work lik Jackie.
The funny thing is that , no much changes or wide margin in Canadian tuition/prices from 2014 till now . Na only our country messed up with ova 100% increase in exchange rate . IMO, an average person won’t be stranded in subsequent years provided 1st year expenses r fixed
