Ghana does not have a single striker as good as Umar Sadiq.
But Kudus is good. He moves like breeze.

That referee played my bet cos how the hell was the challenge on Nunez not a penalty. Hands on the back and leg across without touching the ball.

Mujtahida:

I understand his statement. Yesterday's game is an example of what he meant. You pass and pass with no end result. Tiki taka is thrash. It's too mechanical and robotic a style of football to be tolerated.

How is it football when only one side wants all the possession?

Funny you call a system that has dominated the game for over a decade thrash. Manchester City have dominated the EPL for years. I think the term thrash is far fetched.

No one stops anyone for pressing for the ball. The better side wins. On the way will continue soon.

daveP, I do hope you are learning from Master forecaster! As I predicted!
I use the same pattern to know that Joebie and Blueelf are the same person.
Marjoribanks:
The team that needed the win most than often wins and qualify. Check the stat.
Uruguay has not score a single goal and they will, today. They are strong defensively and will not allow crosses in like the portugese and Koreans.
They also have players that can head the ball. With Ghana going for a 4-3-3, the Uruguayans will have a field day putting in crosses and they have Cavani and Nunez to put those headers in!

We haven't seen a World cup as electric, explosive and interesting as this in a long time. To think they wanted to derail it with their woke agendas.

What a Game.
Compared to this, 2014 and 2018 world cups were drab. This WC is full of twist and turns. It's just so engaging.

The pleasure is unrivaled. I guess this is how Blueelf feels when he trolls us.

As e dey pain dem, e go dey sweet us, as e dey sweet us, e go dey pain dem.

Ghana needed a draw hence there was no need to open up the game, but they left their brains in Kumasi and started chasing for a revenge just as I predicted before the match. And the outcome? Premium tears grin grin grin

The Beautiful game: When History and Posterity come together to script a story

Sometimes you just wonder how beautifully repetitive history and posterity come together to script different WOW Scenarios in the beautiful game called football.

2002: Korea beat Portugal in the final group stage game to qualify for the knockout stages.

2022: Korea have just beaten Portugal (again) in the final group stage game to qualify for the knockout stage on GOALS SCORED.

Paulo Bento played for Portugal in 2002 is managing South Korea 20 years later.

towards the end they could have tried to equalize since they were getting into Uruguay's box but it seems they were demoralized to try and stage a comeback...

Easily Ghana's best player at the mundial. And still my favorite Ghanaian player in World Football today.

Funny how my Ghanaian fav Ex, Dede Ayew come miss penalty today.

Asamoah Gyan will invite him to a PK Missers Dinner. Messi will make a cameo appearance. grin

Yes, geographically Australia is in Oceania. But they joined the Asian confederation in the mid 2000s in order to get higher quality opposition
