The Nigeria Startup Act wishes to draw the attention of the Nigerian populace to the fraudulent message being spread on the internet by a malicious website, "Nationalinvestmentstartupfund.com".

The fraudulent website, "nationalinvestmentstartupfund.com" purporting to be startup funding is asking Nigerian citizens to apply for a national startup investment fund claimed to be backed by the Federal Ministry of Industry, trade, and investment.

This information is not listed on the Nigeria Startup Act official website which makes it malicious and should be disregarded by the public. Kindly refer to our official website and social media accounts for legitimate information about the progress of the Nigeria Startup Act.”

What are you saying @social justice. You are just off point. It's a Federal government intervention/initiative and people are already applying.

It's just like Npower, but in this case, you own your business and you are working for your business.

You are the one that is off point?
I don't really the joy you derived intentionally sharing unverified information, making innocent people susceptible/vulnerable to scam?
Who knows if actually, you are even the owner of the phishing site, that wants to scam people?

Wrong @Defkon. Make clarification before you attempt to misguide people.

I know it's a new initiative, recently signed into law, but Instead of trying to dissuade people, why not just verify from the authority.

If you need clarification, email them or go to FG Ministry of Trade and Investment.

It beats my imagination why someone will be sharing falsehood with so much confidence.

Sorry to bust your bubble, the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment has debunked your lies.

Here you go, the disclaimer from the Ministry;
