I met a lecturer in my department last week, for over 4 years I been in the school, no student has been close to the woman cos she is overly strict. Worst of all, her son died. It added to her madness, she even stopped a student from writing exams cos he was a bit late. She came to mark exams but images of the boy troubled her that she could not. I knew I could comfort her from the scriptures but I was fearful. I prayed for courage. I put the bag in the car and asked her for a minute. My heart was beating so fast that my jaws became heavy.
I told her I'm sorry for her son and understood how she felt but she should not worry much cos it would affect her and the Bible gives hope of a resurrection and the Bible won't lie, she will see him again. She was really crying and opening up to me like a child, I was almost moved too for the old woman. She talked about him for several minutes, thanked me and drove off.
When my colleagues heard that Emmanuel preached to that Dr, their eyes gleamed in disbelief. I wondered how I was able to speak to her but maybe it was a MIRACLE
