I have said it severally that politicians are like internet fraudsters. Very myopic and would recycle the same gimmick severally until it's becomes a cliche.
Recalling how a grossly ineffective Buhari was foisted on Nigerians by these same handlers, it is amusing to observe they have nothing new to bring to the table.
The timeline of events so far has witnessed a replication of the series of events that led to the emergence of Buhari as president. The Chatam House Address which was expected to be a global event currently has no significant bearing as the conveners only succeeded in reinforcing what we always fear in Tinubu's incapability of handling critical issues of state.
Perhaps he lacks knowledge of the importance of electioneering campaigns. It's just another jamboree to him.
It was like a job applicant asking another person to answer questions for him before the interviewer. Questions which are at the very core of the job you desperately seek. He said he did it in the spirit of "teamship", whatever that means.
The Positives?
The only positive to all these is that it is sending a clear message to Nigerians that electing Tinubu as president would be our greatest mistake in our modern history. We still have time to examine this character and his bitter taste of unsuitability on our palate. Let us collectively say no to these badly refurbished commodities. Be it Atiku or Tinubu, they have both past their peak of performance and have grossly depreciated.
Of the current contenders only Peter Obi can clearly and eloquently enunciate his programmes and objectives.
Tinubu and Atiku are degenerative relics of the old order.
