No be when pikin won enter University, you go give am first hug.

I definitely will want my future kids to say “daddy I love you” every time they wake up. I can’t wait to draw them so close to my heart that they will hear every beat coming from my heart.

Normalize telling your kids how much you love them.”

Times are changing and enlightened fathers are doing it.

Gone are the days when women bring children to fathers to punish. This way, they will see the fathers as monsters and see their mothers as angels.

Everyone should punish the children when they err. grin

Am telling you ooooo! Women have really manipulated men enough, they canonize themselves as saints and demonize the men as evil before the children. Men eyes have really opened.

How can a child misbehave and the mum will wait for the dad to come home and discipline the child? That's manipulative

My father never hugged or said "I love you" to us while growing up but we were sure of snacks any time he was coming back from work, we were always entitled to share from the pieces of meat in his food at every meal, weekends when buys himself beer, he allowed us the sons a sip, etc. We were sure he loved us by his attitude.

Well, he still beat us when we broke the house rules or play with our studies while reminding us of the need to always bear in mind the son who we are. However, each time any us of did good, he would praise us with some high-sounding Igbo traditional titles. May his soul rest in peace.

For me, I will neither hug nor tell my children that " I love you".They will know by my caring attitude. I will rather use words of validation and praises to help build their personality and boost their self confidence. However, I would never compromise my authority figure as a father by not sparing the rod and spoiling the child. So help me God.

Hugging and constant "I love you" will only produce simps and validation-seeking women. The society out there in Nigeria is a jungle unless you have the high-level connections. A man must be raised to be masculine enough to seek success, be a leader, a capable husband and responsible father. A woman must be raised to be feminine enough to seek success, hold her own confidently, handle pressure from men rather than seek their validation, be a leader, a loving wife and a sweet mother.
