Most of them are now investing
Only zlatan and naira marley i don't trust and might go into crime if they go broke

grin Banky has also generally diversified into acting, speaking gigs here and there plus I'm sure he has some serious investments.

No doubt he will cashout astronomically if he wins next February.

I think it was N1billion Okocha had trapped in SGBN. My old man used to lament how he and other shareholders lost their shareholdings, depositors lost their funds with the bank and then only Okocha gets to collect his N1billion cos he's Nigeria's national team captain.

Wiz ran as fast as he could....Not gonna lie, for someone that floated his label at a time he didn't have much ( considering what he was getting from EME), the boy has built something awe inspiring for himself....

All the arenas he sells out is testament to this...

As for P-Square, those boys were the biggest musical duo in Africa for over 6 years...In fact, if they release an album now, I'm sure they will do decent numbers...Announce an American and European tour and they will smile to the bank... They're still bankable, I don't even think they ever died off, just the split made it seem that way...

Had nothing to do with being greedy(I'm talking specifically about Wizkid's contract now), it was a standard label deal, the only dodgy part could be Wizkid's then manager taking 25% of his earnings or something like that, can't remember too well.. Wizzy and Banky are still good today...

OK, I didn't realise you've turned into Blueray bro. In my post, I was referring to BankyW as a person, and not Wiz contract issues/situation with him. To be honest, everything i've heard about that guy says he is a greedy man. I no sabi anything about Wiz contract.

They are still good today that's why Wiz avoids the guy like a plague. Ordinary wedding Wiz no gree go, him rather dey fcvk him aunty mates upandan.

That is why u will never see me defending some of these people. SGBN and Savanah Bank failure took the lives of people ; some people who were in the middle class then fell off below the poverty line due to dem Sàràkí and Co 4king them over.

I have heard that banky's image is very very very carefully managed and packaged.

Only the two of them can really say if one was fking the other over. Problem is when you have only that one star in your stable. Sooner or later there will be friction. Same happened with tiwa and her ex husband.

Omo Wizkid's own blowing was mega. I remember going to see him perform Hola at Your Boy at TigerTiger night club in Manchester in 2011 or 2012, it was OK but nothing major

After he split from Banky, the guy played one card that in my opinion was the masterstroke and key to his success.

In 2012 Fuse ODG and Dbanj crossed over on the UK charts with their mega hits Antenna, Azonto and Oliver Twist respectively. I think those were the first 3 Afrobeats songs to ever chart and achieve mainstream success in the UK.

Wizkid now released his own Azonto song that year, piggybacking on the success of Fuse ODG in particular. That was the song that changed his life.

The guy performed at 1xtra live that year and the crowd was singing it bar for bar word for word. I remember Clara Amfo the BBC 1xtra presenter at the time was shocked. He did wireless festival in 2014 as well with Kanye West.

The next Wizzy did was to leverage his success in the UK to almost exclusively focus on the UK market, collaborating with maleek Berry( back to the matter), going on tour with Tinie Tempah who was hot at the time, linking up with Skepta who would eventually hook him up with Drake.

Wizzy's 2013 - 2018 run in the UK was epic.

He deserves it....When you lay it all out like this, it lends more credence to his spirit and how much effort and work went into his success...

Burna's own took me by surprise too, but he's also done well for himself with his crossover...And I must point out that his writing has improved, comparing his projects before Outside to those after , there's a sharp difference in his lyricism...I hope he doesn't lose this...
It feels good to no longer be the only Burna fan in a room...

But then again, where does Davido factor in all these?
I think he's comparable..

Never been an OBO fan to be honest.
Wizkid soundtracked one of the best years of my life with that Superstar album in 2011. And I followed his career with a passion I've only ever shown Skepta and Drake since

RIP to all the leaders of tomorrow that were guzzled down to the sound of somebody shouting "Ojuelegba Shitta, Oya ask your sister..."

Burna was an interesting one - When he dropped like to party he had a mad buzz but then somehow just faded away with little fanfare. I think the next time I started checking for Burna again was around the time Ibime started hyping him up posted his video of heaven's gate with Lily Allen.

Then he just had a monster run from that African Giant album when he got some gype from fighting with Coachella about the position of his name on their poster. By that time, he had transitioned almost entirely into a UK artist that happened to do Afrobeat, and UK market did it's thing again
