Their investment in a Center for Excellence has paid off. Coupled with their thriving local league, the conveyor belt for new talents is very active. Nigerian football officials chose the short-cut of courting foreign born players to the detriment of local league development and this has backfired spectacularly. Time to re-order our priorities really! 1 Like 1 Share |

Such can never work in Nigeria... players will still be selected based on who bribed who, and who knows who and tribal/ religious sentiments. The problem with Nigeria is NIGERIANS! 2 Likes |

...kudos to Morocco, but you see, the major problem in African football in most international scene is 'having the underdog mindset of victory over celebration' this affected the super eagles in France 98 wc, it also affected the Saudi Arabian team as well cos after winning Argentina, they relaxed a bit and its clearly apparent the way they (saudi) took their other two remaining matches.... We all know Morocco won yesterday, thanks to penalty shootout but truth be told, the Spanish team would have won the match due to Morocco's excessive 'back pass' errors and last minute attempt just slightly hitting the goal post... If morocco takes the Portuguese side, the way they played Spain, then I'm sorry they might just be sent packing.. 1 Like |

Because Spain team are not in good shape who's Morocco, there's corruption in Nigeria football association but Morocco success in world cup doesn't hold any water for debate. 1 Like |

Spain football is declining if you've been observing. Meanwhile every team in the world came to win. Nonetheless I dont see Morroco in semi final. |

This is nothing but magic. Nothing we r not going to see because Morocco qualify for quarter final now. Imagine somebody tagging two yrs talent development to a world cup success. Is it that simple? How about Qatar of over 10yrs prep. Perhaps it was professor Phela that handle their development. Nonsense. This a stroll down the memory lane of what the Royal Moroccan Football Federation have done to now be reaping the reward here in Qatar. In July 2022, Morocco hosted a FIFA Talent Development Scheme workshop as part of the Talent Development Plan launched by FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development Arsene Wenger in 2020 |

Our problem majorly is we want an instant result ... unfortunately nothing is instant in football...we don't want to invest but we want to shock the world ...for where now...just take a look at how we have been playing in years...before this brunt...we are a possession based side...i could remember we played Egypt out of the pitch just this Las Afcon....the problem is it's getting obvious we haven't been growing In any way with out football... Create good training pitch... Improve the local leagues Send Nigerian coaches out to learn Build a playing style from kid age academy With all this ...it's just a matter of time ...our football will shock the world We have thousand of people out of which hundreds are very talented...most of this talent only waste with time ..ones again i will rephrase...."nothing is instant in football"....no pain no gain!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

robosky02:They have gone far, yes we all know that. But you guys should calm down. Is not like morocco has done anything more serious than other African countries. Maybe luck is on their side too at the world cup cos morocco has not achieved anything tangible in football for a long time now and we knew how they crashed out from the Nations cup with this same set of players. They are doing fine presently at the world cup is just the way it is. Nothing extraordinary to study about their football federation. |

Hydroxide: Am not just looking at their national male team See their overall development in football Example some years back thy can't even stand any female team from Nigeria But today, they beat us in women afcon qualified for their first female world cup, At women club level they defeated our champion Bayelsa Queen's and even Memolodi Ladies to win CAF women champion league Their facilities are top notched, they are bidding to host lots of competition And most importantly their league is growing 1 Like 1 Share |

nigerians always want shortcut Solutions - Fix the league, if the league is not on TV there is no growth. - Package the league games- i watched an NPFL league game it looks like it was recorded in 1950 - Organised school competitions from primary school - Local government cup all ages. - incorpororate some of the u20 into super eagles from time to time. The u20 and u17 are the academy for super eagles. it was done before eg aghahowa, jayjay etc Dont wait until the player blows or scores in europe before inviting him. Merit based selection Faciliies maintenance More importantly Nigerian coaches are archaic, A proper FA usually setups a coaching certification program, Nigeria can copy what Brazil and other South american countries are doing as they dont have the resources. So much but i dont have time right now 1 Like |
