chibertha: Nne, biko where you do your last summer internship because $15k per month is no small money even if you are earning in dollars. And I can confidently tell you, most companies in the US won't pay a summer intern up to 15k per month. |

Monaboo: You have your work cut out for you, it won't be easy. I haven't seen any fully funded BSN programs, but that does not mean it does not exist. I'll say keep searching and if you don't find one, search for schools with affordable nursing programs. |

Nna, I did not say I was paid 15k for my internship, what I meant was that if for example, I was paid $2 as an intern in my field then it is possible for someone who has many years of experience to be paid $50 During inter/IT you can know what is obtainable in the market. Terry27: 1 Like |

[Hello everyone, I had my interview today at US Lagos embassy and my visa was denied instantly without asking questions. The transcript went like this: VO: (immediately she saw my I-20) who’s sponsoring you? Me: My uncle, he’s the CEO of …. They manufacture window blinds and aluminum windows for government and non government entities VO: what do you do? Me: I work as a business development executive with so so company. VO: how much do you earn? Me: I earn so so amount VO: I’m sorry we can’t issue your visa I was like dumbfounded because she didn’t ask about school and all that. What did I do wrong? Before the interview started, the person I did my finger print was already like “my passport photo is more than 6 months, bring a new passport when next you come” like she already knew I was going to be denied. Mind you, I took the passport photograph in April and I filled ds-160 in August/September I also attached my I-20 to this comment, please view it and revert back what could go wrong. I’m also trying to get in contact with Lagosismyhome. If you see this, kindly drop a contact I can reach you on. Thank you as I will be waiting for everyone response 1 Like

Kenhal: Look at your i20. Answers to your questions are in there. You even said it’s your uncle that is sponsoring and you presented family funds as your proof of funds. My brother you complicated your matter |

Hello everyone Please is there anyone here going or has been admitted into university of missouri |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by AyoPrudence(m): 5:32pm On Dec 08, 2022 |
Kenhal: Hi Kenhal, I understand how you feel about your visa refusal and I can totally relate. It may be easy to judge from the whole transcript you wrote here and the I-20 you presented, however, I believe there is much more to it than that. Factors like how confident you were when answering their questions, maintaining eye contact, giving the right information based on what you filled in your DS-160, and much more. Another thing is, did you get a chance to attend mock sessions or ask the intellectuals here to test your level of preparedness before setting out for the interview? Did you practice your response with people and genuinely ask for their input on your performance? Also, did you get help with filling out your application form correctly? These are just a few things I can point out, and I hope you get your approval on your next try. #Goodluck 1 Like 1 Share |

AyoPrudence: Hello, I didn’t do a mock interview, i looked for ways I could get a contact on here but I couldn’t get any. Also, not many questions were asked except those that I mentioned. I was really confident and also maintained eye contact with her. I don’t know what went wrong that’s why I put my I-20 out here maybe someone could point it out and tell me what to do |

AyoPrudence: He was barely asked any questions so I don’t think those are relevant. The VO must have sensed something we didn’t. |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by justwise(m): 9:55pm On Dec 08, 2022 |
justwise: Just to add to the above post... when applying for Interview Waiver (dropbox), dissociate all dependents from your profile first, it has to be one applicant per request. The new system gives everyone an equal chance to get an appointment, whether they use a visa agent or not |
