Hello,

I need help verifying this setup plan..

I have a 115w chest freezer
13 12w akt bulbs
320w blender (won't be used everyday)
Pumping machine 1hp
Washing machine (will get soon - I am guess 400w)
Charging phones and laptop

For this load..

I want to setup a completely off grid solar installation..

- 24v 3.5kva Novel hybrid inverter
- Five 400w solar panels
- 24v 270ah LiFePo4 batteries

Please let me know if this setup is okay..

I am open to recommendations of better products to buy and from who to buy..

The currently solar panels I have two 200w panels.. For a 220ah Neptune tubular battery.. It rarely charges my battery full.. Although, now I know I should have gotten more panels.. But, another mistake I made was that I bought the panels from Alaba boys..

Please recommend best product and from whom to buy..
Thanks..

If you cannot configure the inverter not to take power from utility then you can totally disconnect the input power supply then.

This wan non suppose hard na.

Pls house how do I stop my inverter from charging my batteries using NEPA light, my NEPA bill is 10k monthly due to the regular charging of batteries by the inverter.

Juror:

How is it able to read individual batteries? did you use a switch?

Batteries are connected in Parallel, RS485 Cable between Batteries (Using DIP switch for Battery 1: 10000 and Battery 2: 01001, and I made a special cable to link the Inverter and the Batteries.

Deye Inverters doesn't read Felicity Batteries out of box you will have to crimp a cable for CAN communication.

Am looking at those battery cables, they don't seem to be above 16mm? I will suggest you do 35mm or at least 25mm considering the load as I assume you will be doing up 10kw average? I can even see from the image that you are already discharging at above 11kw

They are actually 35mm x 2 on each pole. I used single 35mm initially but they were heating up while charging at 240A.
So instead of linking the 2 batteries, I let each battery travel to the inverter on its own. Now the heating is gone.

I have the breakers to worry about now. It's rated 125A and I'm pumping 240A through it. Instead of it to trip, it's just there heating up.

If pressed you can split each 35mm2 cable into a Y and feed the now 2 pronged end of your 35mm2 cable into 2 poles of a double pole breaker - this will help split the current across 2 poles of a typical 125a DC el cheapo breaker - you will need 2 such breakers since you say you have 2 runs of wire.

Better yet invest in a proper industrial grade breaker capable of handling the amps you are passing through - see a stock picture of the kind of thing you are looking for below.

It does appear to me that you are pushing your system rather aggressive with a 240a charge rate and max charge voltage of 57.6v. Your faith in the abilities of an advertised 30kWh of Felicity Lithium battery may be strong but it is better to use more conservative settings for a stable system and ensure longevity - for commercial builds we use anything between 55.5v - 56v as the max charge limit, 49.6v as the discharge limit and an 80a max charge and discharge per 15kwh pack.

The question is not whether an LFP cell standalone can handle high C rates or play between 2.5v and 3.65v - verified field experience and the work of several credible labs and testers have shown that you are better off playing in the safe window of 3.1v - 3.5v and 0.3C for charge and discharge for an assembled pack of cells - this region is where you have the most stability and longevity for a production battery pack of several cells in series.

Good morning! The mureva lights are divided into three types and they come looking aethesic and of low energy consumption with a good brightness to go with it.

One stands out of all, which is the one with IR sensor.

You set it to work without human interference and to also act as a security light by coming on or off using its ssensors.

Hope this helps?

Your point is that the one with the IT sensor may be more expensive to deploy, but less expensive to run.

Thanks.

What's the wattage of the one you use?

And how much area does it cover?

For the front does 1 do? or do you use 2?

Thanks so much for sharing.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 9:10am On Dec 08, 2022
For your setup, 50% of your loads are On & Off so that makes sense.

But I will suggest going for 6 pieces of 400W (Jinko, JA, Canadian, ERA, Yingli)

Assuming your inverter is a wide PV input inverter

For your battery reach out to Valto or a jos guy mentioned several times here.... You are sure to get warranty on the batteries.

You can call me with regards to having your setup built to standard, that suits your budget. My Contact is on signature

Yes! Due to how frequent it comes on.
Thanks.

What's the wattage of the one you use? 20W & 50W

And how much area does it cover? Up to 9m for 20W & 12 -15m for 50W

For the front does 1 do? or do you use 2? Depending on how big your frontage or area to be covered is.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Until now I wanted to do just the 50W, but now I realize that I can mix and match 20W and 50W.

Looks good, but I'm biased against 24V, why not 48V? And your pumping machine may push the 3.5KVa inverter too much if used with other things, the freezer and the lights for example. So, why not push the inverter to 5Kva/4Kw? A few more panels will also be helpful.

This is exactly the type and make of breaker that I used, and as for the 240A C rate I was pushing, Felicity Engineers asked for the test. The Cable sorted itself out as I doubled the 35mm. Normally I would charge the 120A + 120A Batteries at 180A, 150A and 120A at different SOCs respectively.

Oh the BMS does not report individual cell voltages? That's not cool

You can get this information on Batteries that has inbuilt screen, Because of Parallel Installations, Inverters tends to show you the Total values of each Battery Pack. While Some inverters will show you individual cell details when only one Battery pack is connected.

These will likely be even worse than what you have already except you get from a very very credible source.

As you can see the included cable lugs are about 6awg/16mm2 which are rated for about 60a and a max of 75a. That should give a fair idea of the max they can handle.

When you handle the physical item you will also see how light and flimsy it is.
