We are familiar with stereotype women face in life simply because women are more likely to speak out.
On the other hand men have faced lots of stereotype in the past and present, but men don't like discussing matter like this, I dunno maybe they feel speaking out will affect their masculinity.
So I will be listing the stereotype I face as a young man.

1. A man can't babysit children especially a female child, people find it difficult to leave their kids alone with you, without being suspicious. why on Earth will you mark me as a potential rapist simply because I am a man?

2. People look less of you because you don't have a car, house or being financially stable. Everyone can't be those K-drama characters who have the money, house and youth. We are just doing what we can okay?

3. Being shy as a man. I remember I was registering for something, and the man looked at me and asked why was I smiling, most people smile because they are shy or nervous. He was asking me am I not a man? I told him Obama do smile when meeting people, does that make him less of a man.

4. Being close to parents. I remember then in school my friends laugh at me all the time for receiving so much call from my mum, they started calling me mummy's boy. Dunno if being close to your parent is a crime.

abeg make una share your own o, thank God this is a faceless forum, don't be ashamed to speak

Note: Only sensible comment no turn here to gender fight.

You are spoiling for trouble. You read the part where he said don't turn the thread to gender war. It's not only females that stereotype people, please. Just grow up, ok?

Wotoporiously cool speaking

I use to have issues with 3 and 4 when I was younger but as I grew older I got to understand life from another angle and shit don't phase me no more.

Your number 1 and 2 na normal for almost every man life and that perception mostly comes from the female gender due to how the society's been lately. Lack of trust and insecurity.

As a man, you may encounter a number of stereotypes. Some common stereotypes of men include:

Being strong and tough
Being the breadwinner and provider for the family
Being logical and rational, rather than emotional
Being interested in sports and physical activities
Being uninterested in fashion and grooming
Being the dominant partner in a relationship

These stereotypes are not necessarily true for all men, and it's important to remember that individuals are unique and cannot be accurately represented by stereotypes. It's also important to avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes, and to treat each person as an individual, rather than assuming things about them based on their gender.

If you cannot provide basic needs for your babe/family then, you are not man enough.

This is not always true though but... undecided
