TonySpike: I'm foreseeing a boring and fatigued cbm coming very soon since there won't be much difference between the major two heavy houses. The only formula James Gunn can inject into DC is properly what the MCU has thought him. I would've preferred James Wan as the new head over Gunn if Zaslav can't get those Brothers... |

SMUAG: The superhero genre has already reached its peak, it will only go downhill from here unless they start injecting some form of realism into their stories. This era started as far back as 12 years ago. No genre lasts forever in Hollywood. 1 Like |

abduleez1: No success is guaranteed even after five films. Do you know why Marvel is still loved? Many teenagers grew up watching Marvel movies in their childhood and some are already adults as we speak. The Marvel momentum was not altered in anyway and it catered for these transitioning demographics. The real issue with DC is the confusion about canceling and rebooting and all that, it makes people lose interest in their projects. No consistency or continuity whatsover. The easiest scapegoat is always to blame Snyder but WB is the biggest issue, for not believing in their projects and being shaky about Box Office cash. 2 Likes 1 Share |

abduleez1:That's certainly been my point this whole time. Why not just complete the continuity? Why divide the fanbase trying to put your own stamp by rewriting something that is already established and already in progression? |
Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys: 1:53pm On Dec 10, 2022 |
TonySpike:This has always been my point. Very reactionary. Now imagine it was WB after Iron Man 2 got a divisive critical reception, Hulk, Captain America and Thor didn't make the money they wanted, we surely won't have got what MCU has now. Ant man won't have a sequel, etc. |

johnyace: People react to change but after some time they will adapt as the proposed plan/ story arc progresses. •The new storyline will take years to payoff That's why there is a proposed ten year plan. It takes time to build a franchise, this is something people need to understand. You don't build a franchise overnight. •There no guarantee that it will be a success. The rebooted DCEU will be successful if the studio progress and complete their story arc. Yes, it might have issues at its beginning, which is synonymous with changes, but if the studio pushes forward with completing their proposed story arc, the franchise will be successful. A franchise is successful if it is cohesive and progressive, and a cohesive and progressive DCEU is what the current management are committed to. This commitment is seen in their * Proposed ten year DCEU plan * Proposed cohesion across films, animations, games and comics * Independency or semi independency of DC Studios * Zaslav obsession with the DC property * Film intellectuals --- Gunn and Safran --- heading DC Studios With this, I can guarantee you that a cohesive and progressive DCEU is underway, and if that's the case, the rebooted DCEU will be successful. Yes, it might have issues at its beginning, but if its story arc is completed, the success will be realized. #Xavier #DCian |

The Gunn/ Safran criticism in this group is just outright stupidity. How can you criticize a plan you're not aware of? Is any of the critic away of the proposed plan? No, so what's the criticism about? You never see architectural plan, you don dey criticize the building, architect and engineers. How? How e make sense? You never see business plan, you don dey criticize the business and business owner. Is that not stupidity? Common sense demands you wait for Gunn and Safran to implement their plans first to see if it's good and successful or not before you start throwing criticism. But no, reason has to be thrown out of the window in favor of irrationality. No vex, but I have to say it. It is annoying as fvck. DC fans always behaving like children To the Snyder fans, the Snyder plan is not the only franchise plan. The Snyder plan is not the best franchise plan. There are others. So let Gunn/ Safran implement their plans first in order to see if it's good and successful or not before you start making noises #Xavier #DCian |
Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Xavier5(m): 3:13pm On Dec 10, 2022 |
Hopefuy for the last time, there's nothing wrong in a studio rebooting a franchise with an incomplete story arc ONCE. Emphasis on "ONCE". But there's a problem if such reboot is done multiple times. WB/DC are rebooting the DCEU with its incomplete story arc once, so there's nothing wrong with what they are doing. If they do such reboot multiple times, then there's problem, because it's senseless and stupid. It is rational to complete a story arc in a franchise before rebooting, and it is also rational to reboot a franchise with an incomplete story arc ONCE. It's not a case of right or wrong. It is not a case of rationality or irrationality. Rather it's a case of choice, a case of what the studio wants. WB/DC chose the latter, and they aren't doing anything wrong or irrational. So if there's nothing wrong or irrational with the rebooting path WB/DC are taking, then what's the noise about? Also, Snyder plans was terrible, it was filled with so many technical problems. Ask me how and why? I guess that's the reason the new WB/DC management, beginning from Jason/Ann/Hamada to Zaslav//Gunn/Safran, decided to go with the rebooting plan. If I were in their shoes I would have done same. #Xavier #DCian |

Xavier5:You keep talking about the ten year plan when that isn't even guaranteed because WBD is likely to be under new management in a few years, if the the first few movies fail to resonate with the larger audience and the new management decides to fire Gunn and Safran, what happens then We would probably start seeing Gunn Cultists and restore the GunnVerse hashtags. Note: I am not critiquing Gunn's plan because I don't even know what that is, I am only critiquing a hard reboot of the DCEU 1 Like |

johnyace: @bolded Same thing as criticizing the Gunn/ Safran plan. What if their plan is a hard reboot? I'm not a fan of hard reboot but there's nothing wrong if they want to take that path. And how do you know the ten year plan won't be realized. What if it becomes a reality? Is the right thing be to unnecessarily throw criticism when you aren't certain of things? Doesn't common sense demand you let Gunn/ Safran implement their plans first to see if it will be good and successful before you start throwing criticism? How does be unnecessarily critical and skeptical now sounds smart? As I said earlier, the rebooted plan might have issues at the beginning but if the new management progresses and completes their proposed story arc, it will be successful. Everything boils down to them doing that of which from the look of things, they will. If the DCEU is aggressively progressing on its new plan and the studio sees promises, change in management won't affect it. Managerial change only affects the franchise if there isn't any success or promises or reception in it, which results in the new management coming up with their own plan. But the reverse is the case if the franchise has the progress, promise and reception. In such scenario, they won't change but rather continue with the already established path. So the question is, will there be progress, promises and reception in the DCEU before a probable change of management? Only one way to find out, and throwing unnecessary criticism isn't that way. #Xavier #DCian 1 Like 1 Share |

At this point it's very good Patty left if this is true. To wipe the woman cord for neck dey hungry me. Which kind yeye script be this, what's her annoying obsession with Steve Trevor. At this point it's her who can't let go of Steve not Diana. The fvvk would Steve still be doing at this point of the story. If she's wanting a war with the Amazons it's very easy with the Bana Mighdall storyline where they was an Amazonian civil war. Bring in Artemis facing off Nubia. And then add in the Amazon forest Amazons in the mix and you have exactly this exact story. If she taps the story of ZSJL where Steppenwolf decimates the Amazons while stealing the motherbox — the other Amazon tribes feel Paradise Island Amazons has failed to protect their world and demand for a new Queen after Hippolyta's death. Story don set be that. With the reception of the previous movie she's still stubbornly towing the same line. This woman never learns. With the character arc she's parroting that ppl don't understand, she seems to be the ignorant one cos her shït contradicts what happened in WW84 were Diana gave up on Steve after realising what her wanting him did to the world and understood that sacrifice are sometimes made for the greater good. Patty clearly doesn't understand what is character arc or progression. They should just give this thing to Misha Green to write and prolly direct or use Emerald Fennel. They're both good and talented women in the industry. But no, her head no wan correct. Give us a proper Greek/Amazon mythology. Where's Circe, Hecate or Athena? 2 Likes 1 Share

abduleez1: Omo Jesus wtf. I can't believe Geoff Johns had a hand in this stupid story with his clear eyes, it's either jazz or pussy cos wtf. Did this woman even care to read and know about wonder woman even? Thank God for James Gunn and all the sane heads that turned it down. |

pu7pl3: Like WTF!! I know say Geoff Johns no get sense normal, but with the kind stories wey the guy don write over the years, I still dey doubt how him go Siddon write this nonsense with Patty. E gats be pussy, cos the way she dey always involve am for projects I no understand. It's like she's barely read a Wonder Woman comic before. And this thing dey vex me, cos na Wonder Woman comics I dey easily quick read (even if I no complete am) before I touch Supes or Batsy sef. |

abduleez1: Omo...good riddance abeg Make she go open her studio or better still stuck to just directing and leave writing alone. At this rate Steve Trevor go swear for am sef. You won't let him live, you won't let him die. Ah ah Tufiakwa. |
Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys: 5:12pm On Dec 11, 2022 |
pu7pl3:The bringing Steve Trevor back doesn't make sense, isn't his body supposed to be decayed or whatever? I mean it's roughly a century plus lol. And why would Ra'as want to raid Themscyra? They certainly don't get the characters but then again, how did they get wind of Jerkin's story? At this rate they should just do a JL2 movie where they kill off all the characters and start afresh. The more the residual of the old cast remains, there will be a stumbling block. Give the DCEU an ending then reboot. Totally cause it's obvious there's no plan and people need to move on. |

abduleez1:Are you sure he wrote those stories you think he wrote? May have been someone else's that he was credited for. Happens a lot. Cause someone who has written great stories doesn't automatically start writing crap on a consistent level. There may be hit and miss but of course the stories would at least make sense. Like the Nolans for example. |
