Hello everyone, I enrolled for my passport some months ago and captured in October, I did it through the DIY route and I was able to make contact with an immigration officer that day and we exchanged numbers. I called her yesterday and she promised to help me check my production progress, she reached out this morning and said it was currently in Data uploading. I have been trying to call her but I haven’t been able to reach her. I’m just concerned and would like to know if that’s a green flag or I’ll still have to wait for months ?

Please which date exactly do you captured in Abeokuta?

2. Before online registration? You may not upload any document. Ensure you have your NIN and other details. Also, since payment is online, make your debit card ready with, at least, 26k in It

3. I don't know if that is acceptable. You may get an affidavit/age declaration and go with the two. Better still, an NPC birth certificate.

4. I think this depends on the NIS Centre. Some DIYers have reported a fair treatment here while others got cold reception. I personally was not happy with the response I got at Ibadan but if you have all necessities in place and put everything in order, you are good to go. Read this thread as far back as you can, there is sufficient information.
Also, go there on the capturing date early and be prepared for a full day. Ask questions and be attentive to instructions.

5. Nah that period I no fit talk o. It depends on center as well. A few places do not much allow fast-tracking, so you'd expect, at least, a fair time for all. While others that allow fastrack would want to deal with their 'customers' first before DIYers.

Generally, if you have enough time to wait, register online and do it without wasting time - capturing dates are occupied for months ahead. Make sure you have all details entered correctly; avoid mistake as much as possible.

Spent close to 10 hours at Alausa to document and capture. Successfully did everything.

DIY all the way. I didn't pay anyone a kobo.

NB: The girl wey dey that documentation desk wan reject the Birth document wey I go do for NPC secretariat.

She dey tell me say make I go meet people for gate make dem do LGA birth cert for me.

I come reason say how document wey I do for NPC secretariat no go even get value pass the one wey LGA or roadside go do for me.

Myself and spouse captured at Alausa on 27th of September. I would be going to Alausa this week to confirm if our passport is about. But what am worried about is that, will it possible for me to pick my spouse passport on her behalf and if possible what are the necessary documents that would be needed to go along with.

Mine is renewal while her own is fresh.

Mail NIS servicom.

Oh walk to the NIS HQ since you are in Abuja, ask for servicom unit and lay a physical complaint.

Or look for a more senior officer in that same Gwagwalada and report to him/her.

Those junior officers are wehrey, they almost pulled a fast one on me yesterday too.

You shouldn't have taken his word for it, now he may find an issue to pin to your file and still won't produce the passport.

You should have done to servicom to report him and also report to the PCO and 2IC, so he'd be sanctioned and your passport produced immediately.

I went to see if its ready and I was told by the collection woman (after telling her my enrollment ID) that it wasn't ready.
Now I would have left and gone home if not for what she said next.
She said its supposed to be ready by now nau that I should go and meet my processing officer.
In my mind, i was like which one is processing officer.
She directed me to servicom.
I went to meet servicom
It was later on I realised that processing officer refers to someone who's doing the whole process for me.
I only realised after the servicom lady asked me who did it for me, I told her online.
She then told me they are currently on August.

In my mind, I laughed reason being that I met someone who did capturing same day with me collecting his own passport today.
So I just want to know, is it that mine has been neglected or something cos I see no reason why mine would be delayed and someone who captured same day with me would be getting his today.

You did well by your narration. I captured on November 4, at the same Oshogbo centre. I am not ready to go there only to come back empty handed. That’s why i keep checking my portal every now and then. I always laugh at people who say there is nothing like fast track because they only talk within the level of their exposure. I know of someone who captured on October 4 who has collected her passport like six weeks later(She paid 54k though). I have her details with me so, I’m sure of what i am saying. If not for the financial implication I would have sponsored a social media campaign against them.

Like I said earlier, if you don't fast track in Òsogbo, you are O Y O. I captured since August till now no passport even though not DIY. Since production is now in August, by next month Jan I will go there to collect my passport.

Thank you for your input. I will do this next week because this week will make it sixth week i have captured. Let me see how it goes on Friday before i make a move on Monday
