Has anyone here make purchase in Amazon using naira card?
I was trying to purchase an item of 10k but the payment was declined.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jonescosmos(m): 7:10pm On Dec 15, 2022
Was working till this year, CBN limited foreign debit on Local cards to 20K from 100K monthly, from 20K they suspended it indefinately.
Foreign transactions on local accounts are only possible on platforms that have Nigerian Payment Gateways now.
For Amazon, you will need a domicilary card to transact although this also is limited to $5,000 per month.
Even my dmicillary card too has been showing payment declined since three days now.

Most of the USA made products are found in Amazon.
I hardly find them in Jumia and Konga. Is like Jumia's and Konga's concentration is in China.
Very bad.

Good evening all, I hope everyone had a great day?

So I went on a 3 Phase Inverter quest today.

Most unfortunately most people haven't done a single unit 3 phase setup, most have done 3 units 3phase parallel setup..

And my questions went like:
What happens when you have a source phase failure?

Most people haven't tried it or withnessed it because they were always deploying to clients that have 3 phase prewired environments and have all 3 phases always avialable.

To be quiet honest, I was dissappointed at some responses I got.

Now am back here to seek professional advise.

Has anyone done a 3 phase grid tie setup?
If yes, what happens when a phase or 2 phases fails?
Has anyone tried to power all 3 phase with a the same single phase? Most 3phase inverters I saw today were labelled 230v/400v input. and yet the dealers could not tell me if I choose to ignore the 400v part, what will happen.

We live in a country where grid phase drops are incessant. Please i need honest and first hand experience responses.

Thanks all.

Have you got an answer now?

Good question!
I would also like to know why I have one if the inverter comes with its own charge controller. I simply followed the installers recommendation and setup has been working flawlessly
after my initial worry thanks to a few pointers on this thread on maximising what I have.
Will follow up on this when I'm on ground.

Quick question abeg since we seem to have the same inverter.

Is the fan on yours always on irregardless of how much load is on it or how hot is?

I noticed that when charging hits 50A and the temperature goes above 45c, the two fans run very loud. Once temps drop below 45c, one fan shuts down and the other continues non stop with less intense noise.

I contacted the brand's customer care and they said this is normal

His picture and number are same with the person whom I chatted with.

Congrats on your new Panels.

Yes ooo, We use to call him Oga Charles in those days. I sent my mom to go and verify Company and Address brfore I pay.
Hahahaha, she got there and asked for the contact person number, I sent and after a moment she said so you don't know Charles? grin
By the way she carried out the inpection and other things as standard prerequisites.

Oga Chris asked me on the chat "So you sent your mom on errand?"

Have gotten 2kw inverter and 60amps charger controller. I was told to get 600w slolarpanel
Am. In Delta I saw one 320w polycloud solar panel on jumia don't know if it's OK. Thanks
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 11:57am On Dec 16, 2022
Is it 110a on 24v or 12v. I guess it's 24v by d size of dat inverter. If so. 600w won't b enough for 2600w battery. If ure on a tight budget u can get 2 400w yingli from Lagos. Dey can send to ur state as well.

I use same charge controller and get over 2kw with 8*340w panels
that looks like a felicity controller.

I do not think it gets accurate reading though .

I use a 8 x300watts panel and I get not up to 1.6

BTW guys I was thinking of doing a separate connection to my must 5kw hybrid inverter, this time I'm looking at getting original Canadian solar panel 600watts x2[when money comes]

I'd like to know guys if this hybrid can take another 2400watts

Depends on the rated input. I use an axpert mks clone called ipowerplus to handle my second array made up of 4 x 540 JASolar panels configured in a 2S2P. The out put is quite decent even though the array faces West and by the time it is ready to really work, the east facing array has done most of the work.

You can track the performance yourself here http://energy.openculture.org.ng:8080/dashboard/view?id=48

One thing to note though, the axpert mks 5kw 48v and it's related clones are best used in a 2S configuration. Even though it can handle 3S technically, it is actually designed to optimally handle 115v. Go over that and you would experience losses. The source for this information is from people who actually decoded the axpert charge Algo. Same people wrote a custom firmware which fixes some serious charging bug with the inverter, a bug which as the potential to ruin a battery by leaving it under charged. Don't have the source ATM but when I do I will update this post.

there's a lot of technical terms reading used here I am jst an end user...this is what I meant..

1. I use a felicity 120A charge controller connecting 8 300watts to it..

2.now I want to get another separate panel and connect them like a different separate connection this time from the charge controller inside the hybrid inverter (MUST brand).

So my question is it possible to do this thereby linking them to a battery[15kw felicity lithium].
.My installer said it is very possible I jst need more experts analysis from yall b4 embarking on it.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by durodee(m): 11:55pm On Dec 16, 2022
The simple answer is YES. How to connect it (2S = two in series etc) was what bigrovar was trying to explain.

If your question is weather Amazon is delivering items to Nigeria, Yes they are but if and only if the item seller has marked the item as deliverable to Nigeria.

If your question was weather Amazon is still kicking off the Amazon Nigeria Warehouse as they propsed before, Yes they are but it will take some time. Jumia, Konga and some other Nigerian Online merchants are being fingered as sabotaging the project big time.
