slydog:I was discussing with a plumber friend that was working in my house yesterday and he is now realising this fact that they can make more over there. So for such a person, there must be a certificate of training? Secondly, someone who has worked as an insurance agent for some years, can he move to Canada via the EE? |

GorillaApp:Yes, a govt approved certification As long as the insurance agent is educated, yes he is qualified but the question how highly qualified is he? Because rem you are not competing with Nigerians but with Indians, Chinese and every other nationals immigrating to Canada, so a first degree along will not cut it for EE, aside from age factor and the need to write IELTS. Now there are other routes to come into Canada, agriculture, sch, care giver etc, now needs to research extensively and decide on the right path for himself, I have more than 2 degrees and I was younger and with over 7years working experience in Nigeria, so the EE path worked for me and I'm here. I met a Nigerian lady who came in as a caregiver years ago, that was the path, today she runs her business as massager, and has bought a house, you might think, ordinary massage o, I paid her $105 for one hour deep tissue massage, but guess what, na handy work dey pay well here. |

No idea, didn't go through that path, so I can't speak on it. One thing I am certain of is, you must have working experience in the whatever you say you do. |

blueAgent: this shows you have brains but you do not use it UAE and USA are allies - why did the USA not leave UAE to prosecute Hushpuppy? They did not because whatever Huspyuppy was doing was affecting their own citizens and they went to get him - This means - America will not pass by the opportunity to capture and try anyone who is messing with their socio-economic or political institutions - why not do same for those stealing our commonwealth and lodging it in bank vaults here in America? you honestly think if anyone steals Money as a politician from the USA and hides the proceeds in Nigerian banks, Nigeria will not return that money instanta to the US govt once it is determined that the money is in Nigeria? IF you say that will not happen then you need to have your head examined! Lastly western nations have the power to get whatever and whoever they want to return whatever to them if that thing is in Africa or Nigeria My question for you is do we in Africa have that same leverage? How successful have we been able to get Deziani Allison Madueke to return from the UK to face prosecution ? she is being shielded... If Madueke was British and hiding in Nigeria, you think Britain will not successfully pressure Nigeria to send her back home to London to face charges ? YET you say "America can deal with their issues - let Nigeria deal with hers...... dont blame the white man bla bla bla" as if we have the same power So if you do not know how to reason with reality, sh orro p ya mouth 1 Like 1 Share |

ogbonti: You really trying to sound intelligent but you are not. Comparing Apple's with oranges. Did Husspuppi steal from Nigerian treasury ? Was he a politicians? The money stolen and sent abroad by our politicians is it written" stolen public funds"? You are practically asking them to be your anti corruption watch dog, which is not possible because that would mean them interfering in a sovereign nations politics, which ppl like you would be the first to accuse them of racism and been over bearing. If you cannot reason logical please don't quote me. Ppl like you are the reason Africa and the black world is a 3rd world country. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by mmsen: 11:54am On Dec 18, 2022 |
haryomikun: You won't see an answer from any of the "Japa by all means" crowd because they don't understand any of these places that they're looking to run to. The UK has a demographic problem that can now only be solved by importing clueless, spineless Africans. The people there are not having enough children because the cost of living and thus the level of stress is insanely high. But let Africans tell it the UK is paradise and Africa has nothing good and is not worth developing. 1 Like |
Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by Gerrard59(m): 12:16pm On Dec 18, 2022 |
mmsen: Bros, this japa thing has to do with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, so I don't understand your criticisms. Let people go and earn what they can earn and experience a functioning society. BTW, this same abroad you are lambasting, you have lived there for ages and possess the passport. So, why the antagonism? It is not like these teachers are illegal migrants. If e tire them just like e tired you, they will return to Nigeria. Migration is as old as mankind. |
Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by mmsen: 1:07pm On Dec 18, 2022 |
Gerrard59: Migration is as old as mankind but so is developing and improving your surroundings. Why do these self-proclaimed "intelligent" Africans do one but not the other? You talk about "earn what they can earn", well once they've paid all their bills and seen almost half of their income removed for taxes they will find that they have very little and for those of them who have children it will be even worse, they have less than nothing. This is something that British people have come to realize a long time ago, hence the demographic collapse that they are now facing. You mention Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Well, here's another surprise awaiting those who think that Japa is the solution to all ills - many of those needs will not be met abroad. I've heard it said how lonely north America is but Europe is just as bad, especially a place like the UK where people are so hostile to others. I don't think you understand that when you leave for many of these places you are leaving for a cauldron of bitterness and hatred. The British showed what kind of people they are when they elected to leave the greatest trading bloc in human history out of hatred for their own immediate neighbors, yet Africans have somehow told themselves that the UK is a good place to live. Na wa for you. |

blueAgent: The bolded parts says all everyone reading your response needs to know about you YOU LACK SENSE, full stop! A man whose salary is not more than N20 million a year (state Governor in Nigeria) which is $30,000 dumps $5 million in a bank in your country (USA/UK) and you think they are so dumb not to know it’s proceeds off corruption ? The first time I walked into a dealership in California to buy my own personal car (what i was using was my Uncle’s car for years) - I wanted to pay cash for it - $23,000 and walk away with a toyota camry brand new, the dealership manager advised me against it stating while it is not illegal to pay cash, but it will raise red flags about me and trigger IRS to continually investigate me - I told him I earned it, i saved it and i can prove it with my paycheck stubs and bills and bank direct deposits from my earnings - he still told me - well don’t just pay cash at once - u can just make lump payments over 6 to 9 months and that will be ok - that’s to to tell you everyday Americans don’t have thousands of dollars flying around in their pockets or bank accounts- The average everyday American does not have more than $5,000 in their bank accounts - that’s like 70% of the population I can boldly say - so for one politician in Africa to hide $5 to $100m in a single bank in western country screams “CORRUPTION” and if they ignore it - it means they are co- conspirators in the looting of Africa and they are equally guilty of the crime committed by our political class in Africa Just think about my experience at the dealership - just $23,000 car oooo - they system puts checks there to ensure it’s not proceeds from drugs or money laundering because I am a US citizen and I live in the US - so why should anyone just transfer millions of dollars from a dirt poor country in Africa with no means of business or career other than just being a politician and the west turns a blind eye to it if not complicity ? when they know the average income of citizens in the originating country where these money is coming from is less than $2 a day ? common naw…. However, you are so daft you can’t even understand evidence when it’s presented to you because you want to just argue for arguing sake in one line you oppose me, in another line you contradict yourself yeye fawo 1 Like |

ogbonti: The fact is that the system you speak of relies upon the stupidity of Africans and other so-called 3rd World nations. Yes, you will be queried about a measly $23k but they can bring in millions of dollars, no questions ask with no investigation. That is because even before the money touches down in Yankee they know it's coming and how these crooks came by that money. If they so wanted they could prove that it was by corrupt/criminal means and sometimes they do but most of the time they choose to turn a blind eye. |
Re: UK Opens Door For Nigerian Teachers by ogbonti: 2:58pm On Dec 18, 2022 |
mmsen: exactly - it’s just like a man you know that works as a vulcanizer in your street with no other career and who can never earn more than N10,000 a day no matter how hard he works - asking you to help him keep N200 million … won’t you ask him to prove the source ? even if he proves it will you feel comfortable keeping it knowing the police could charge you as an accomplice to a crime he committed in future ? same scenario here…. aiding and abetting criminality and both carry the same penalty! 1 Like |

If you see the way saudi recruited nigeria seafarers/sailors since early last year likewise doctors, it has been a tsunami. Even up till now, Nigerians in this sector are all trooping to saudi and other countries. Funny enough, they didn’t recognized our certificates before now but all of a sudden, they started taking us.
