You’ll be having problems when you get to the POE. So don’t try it. You’ll have to reapply to the school so they can send you a new LOA. If you can’t wait that long, another option is to apply to another school maybe for May intake, get your LOA and apply for visa again. Jnsionu4: |

Good day everyone, I have already paid my first semester tuition fee using form A and I plan on paying the second semester fee this coming January. My question now is; is the payment of second semester tuition fee any different from the first one. Does the bank require any different document. Thank you. |

Has the 8m been liquified, or is it still in a fixed deposit? If it is the latter, then the available funds are insufficient. Unlike permanent resident applications, most VOs do not consider fixed deposits when assessing available funds. You can use either or both of them as sponsors. I don’t believe you will have issues regarding home ties if you use your brother, provided you prepare your application well. Based on the information you provided, your ties seem stronger in Nigeria. Do you bear the same last name as your mum? Did you submit your birth certificate? This time includes additional proof of relationships like photos, copies of her info in any applications/documents and vice versa, and evidence of previous support received from her. In addition, as suggested by the gurus, pay at least one-semester tuition fee from mum’s account if you will be using her as a sponsor. Finally, the importance of a well-written SoP cannot be overemphasized; I feel like your application was poorly submitted. RuggedArab: 1 Like |

For unknown, some applications take longer to process. Your baby’s application has nothing to do with it. deebee13: 3 Likes |

bullstriker: Thank you very much! - We bear same surname. Her name appears on my birth certificate as my mother. I submitted pictures of us, covid cards, birth certificate. - Previous support; she has been my mother since child birth and has supported my education from small. - I think I’ll use my brother and her. Thanks for sharing. |

RuggedArab: I’m not sure if there’s a timeframe, I know after a refusal people send mail and webform trying to address the VOs concerns, back it up with evidence if they can and then they’ll either approve or reject it again. |

Anyone traveling on the 26th?, let's link up. For those waiting for PPR,plz my advice is this: Take a break from here for like a month to get your sanity back. We worry a lot...I guess because a lot wanna japa. What will be,will be. I have been on nairaland since 2010. At a point I was made a moderator, life happened to me..I had to focus on my personal growth. Lost millions to travel agents. I never left, still here every minute viewing as a guest. Maybe my English is not that good now, this is someone most people mistook as a graduate..but am just a secondary school certificate holder. I have always wanted to explore the world, get a better education,I come from a poor home. But I never relented. For someone who has always been taking the first position from primary one to ss3, wanted to be a writer . I believe I wrote one or two unpublished article/novels.. growing up. Name any country,I know it and everything about it. I read extensively. Knowledge is power. I am very good in geography,..it is not even about this,my brain is always eager to learn something new. I lived this life that no one would want to live. I never for one day sent web forms to IRCC, but man! depressed?,I was. Take time out, work out and try to shut out some stuff from your mind. Most people get their PPR and move on,I will not. I never got any help in my visa application from here, but I want everyone to calm down. To the religious one... well you can keep praying, but it doesn't change nothing. Just relax and don't pressure yourself. 11 Likes |

Hello everyone, Compliments of the season. My case is very confusing but God is in control. I applied for my study permit on the 26th of March, 2022. I applied with my daughter. We both did the upfront medical on the 2nd of February. I noticed that my daughter's medical was updated to pass on the 5th of April, 2022 after we submitted our application but mine was not. Apparently I had a change of name on my passport. The passport I used for the medicals was in my maiden name but the passport I used in the application was in my marital name. I attached everything to my application including my marriage certificate, affidavit of change of name and even the medical slip to make them know that I am the same person( I had an visiting visa application since 2020 that IRCC did not even attend to so I obviously had a valid biometrics in their system). The medicals was updated to pass on that application i had since 2020 probably because it was in the same name. Fast forward to 12th of May or so, IRCC requested a biometrics fee, so I wrote a letter to them to make them know that I had done my biometrics earlier in so so so and so name and I had a change of name so i had a valid biometrics and I even alerted them of my upfront medicals I had done. I attached all the valid document to that letter and sent it to them. I noticed that my name was changed back to my maiden name after some weeks. I was like what can of thing is this oo!!. So all correspondence I received from then on were in my maiden name which created some sort of confusion. On the 12th of september, I got a medical request, then the next day, the 13th of September, I got a passport request but not for my daughter. I was like probably they will attend to hers after mine. I was happy that probably they had acknowledged the medicals that was why they sent the passport request. I still sent them my upfront medicals via the webform and emails then I submitted my passport to the VFS Lagos office on the 15th of September, 2022. On the 20th of Sept, I got a notification that my passport had gotten to IRCC. I noticed that despite the webforms sent, my medicals was not still updated. I waited on my passport or atleast something from IRCC till the 25th of November, 2022 when I woke up to a refusal correspondence based on : 1. My Application not being consistent with a temporary stay in Canada 2. My intended course of study not being in line with my past education/ career. I was shocked, did they not see all these things before they sent for my passport? I immediately sent them a reconsideration and explained my situation to them and told them that my passport has been requested for already. I really do not know if this was done in error or the VO is just confused. I got a reply back from them on thursday which I will attach to this message. What do you guys think? I have not gotten passport back but I doubt it was stamped. I am just confused. I dont even know what to think anymore. It is well.

pwettyhardey:respect yourself and use aboki. I visited my bank, even my branch manager fought tooth and nail to get me PTA,but nothing came. You need a return ticket, but even at that... nothing. CBN no get dollar to give anyone. The system is messed up. As per airline, keep checking wakanow every minute, you might get a good deal. |

I have been reading this Canada Student visa thread for two months now and I learnt that every application is unique. Now, I'm planning on applying for my younger sister though we have not applied to any school yet because the only thing stopping us now is how she will show home ties. We don't have a land, a house, we don't have inherited property, we virtually don't have anything. But I will be opening a mutual fund account for her by tuesday next week and hoping to rally about 3million into the mutual fund account when the time for her visa application comes. She is 24yrs old and will round up her Nysc in few months time. We plan on using MPower to fund her study and I have done the eligibility for her and she's worth 51000 CAD. Hopefully right now the only thing we have is the MPower and also the mutual fund account. Although I just registered a company a week ago but the business I do can not give me much inflow and out flow for now (online business). I just decided to register a company and nothing else. Gurus in the house please I need advice, we really need to start gathering the documents now because September 2023 and January 2024 is not that far as we see it. One more thing she studied Bsc Botany and graduated with a 2:1 if anyone knows a university that we can apply to for her to get fully funded scholarship please share with me. This is the story of my life TELL US HOW AND WHAT WE SHOULD USE TO SHOW HOME TIES 4 Likes |

Pls, is it okay to write a letter of support for myself, stating I'm supporting my studies with the amount in my MBS which is my personal savings and notarize it. Is this okay? Does it make any sense? Also, what other document can someone use to proof relationship between a mother and her daughter aside pictures, national I.d, birth certificate. johnstan: |
