Let her apply to the University of Saskatchewan or university of Manitoba in the fall of 2023
Focus99:
I have been reading this Canada Student visa thread for two months now and I learnt that every application is unique. Now, I'm planning on applying for my younger sister though we have not applied to any school yet because the only thing stopping us now is how she will show home ties.

We don't have a land, a house, we don't have inherited property, we virtually don't have anything. But I will be opening a mutual fund account for her by tuesday next week and hoping to rally about 3million into the mutual fund account when the time for her visa application comes.

She is 24yrs old and will round up her Nysc in few months time. We plan on using MPower to fund her study and I have done the eligibility for her and she's worth 51000 CAD.

Hopefully right now the only thing we have is the MPower and also the mutual fund account.

Although I just registered a company a week ago but the business I do can not give me much inflow and out flow for now (online business). I just decided to register a company and nothing else.

Gurus in the house please I need advice, we really need to start gathering the documents now because September 2023 and January 2024 is not that far as we see it.

respect yourself and use aboki. I visited my bank, even my branch manager fought tooth and nail to get me PTA,but nothing came. You need a return ticket, but even at that... nothing. CBN no get dollar to give anyone. The system is messed up. As per airline, keep checking wakanow every minute, you might get a good deal.
Thanks a lot

Pls, is it okay to write a letter of support for myself, stating I'm supporting my studies with the amount in my MBS which is my personal savings and notarize it.

Is this okay? Does it make any sense?

Also, what other document can someone use to proof relationship between a mother and her daughter aside pictures, national I.d, birth certificate.

Your SOP should cover everything from describing yourself to your return back to Nigeria. Have paragraphs explaining every detail, that's where explaining your POF (self sponsored or third party sponsored) would come in.

You just mentioned the documents for proving a relationship exists, I'm not sure which other one you might be referring to.

Transit visa is as per country your flight would transition through and not about the airline itself.
US states require you to have a US visa.

If transiting only through Paris, then directly to Canada then no transit visa is required

Did you apply for study permit or VV for your kids?

PPR Alert!

We woke up around 3:30am and saw four do not reply messages in our mail.
First time applicant! PPR study visas for my wife and 3 children (8, 6, 4). Below is the time-line. I will post documents submitted soon! I’ve sent their passports to Abuja this afternoon.

Thank God and special thanks to this wonderful thread and all contributors. I got a lot of knowledge here and we did it ourselves. I pray for all those waiting.

Cheers!

Got my passport back today from DHL after they delayed transit to Lagos for like 8 days ( they nearly frustrated me but God pass them) and My God how dearly I love you daddy, I can't stop staring at my counterfoil, I'm amazed at the wonders he's done concerning my life so far. The keeper of my sanity!

To my May applicants and everyone waiting for their PPR, its yours.

Claim it boldly.

I need a travel buddy going to Regina next week and also a roommate for a shared accommodation.

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA HERE I COME!

God bless this family.

Congratulations!

Recently, some people have reached out that after PPR and submitted to VAC, they received a refusal letter and were instructed to pick up their passports. So, I am beginning to believe it could be a technical issue in their system. Please, let us know if they stamped the passport.
Simti:
Hello everyone,
Compliments of the season.

My case is very confusing but God is in control.

I applied for my study permit on the 26th of March, 2022. I applied with my daughter. We both did the upfront medical on the 2nd of February.
I noticed that my daughter's medical was updated to pass on the 5th of April, 2022 after we submitted our application but mine was not.
Apparently I had a change of name on my passport. The passport I used for the medicals was in my maiden name but the passport I used in the application was in my marital name.

I attached everything to my application including my marriage certificate, affidavit of change of name and even the medical slip to make them know that I am the same person( I had an visiting visa application since 2020 that IRCC did not even attend to so I obviously had a valid biometrics in their system). The medicals was updated to pass on that application i had since 2020 probably because it was in the same name.

Fast forward to 12th of May or so, IRCC requested a biometrics fee, so I wrote a letter to them to make them know that I had done my biometrics earlier in so so so and so name and I had a change of name so i had a valid biometrics and I even alerted them of my upfront medicals I had done. I attached all the valid document to that letter and sent it to them. I noticed that my name was changed back to my maiden name after some weeks. I was like what can of thing is this oo!!. So all correspondence I received from then on were in my maiden name which created some sort of confusion.

On the 12th of september, I got a medical request, then the next day, the 13th of September, I got a passport request but not for my daughter. I was like probably they will attend to hers after mine. I was happy that probably they had acknowledged the medicals that was why they sent the passport request. I still sent them my upfront medicals via the webform and emails then I submitted my passport to the VFS Lagos office on the 15th of September, 2022. On the 20th of Sept, I got a notification that my passport had gotten to IRCC.
I noticed that despite the webforms sent, my medicals was not still updated. I waited on my passport or atleast something from IRCC till the 25th of November, 2022 when I woke up to a refusal correspondence based on :
1. My Application not being consistent with a temporary stay in Canada
2. My intended course of study not being in line with my past education/ career.

I was shocked, did they not see all these things before they sent for my passport?

I immediately sent them a reconsideration and explained my situation to them and told them that my passport has been requested for already.

I really do not know if this was done in error or the VO is just confused.

I got a reply back from them on thursday which I will attach to this message.
What do you guys think?
I have not gotten passport back but I doubt it was stamped.

I am just confused. I dont even know what to think anymore.
It is well.

Hello House,

I will like to seek advice especially from anyone who has done/witnessed something similar.

My sister who studied Biochem has been doing business fulltime in the last 3-4 years wants to study Medical Office Mgt. Our concern is how to approach the key points in her visa application SOP drafting.

I will greatly appreciate any advice or suggestion on how best to position her visa SOP and salient points that may help with the difference in first degree and projected study.

Thank you.

I have read on this thread were someone used his cryptocurrency wallet to show proof of fund. He said he also showed all his trade/margin trading from his crypto account. Good news he got PPR

So if you asked me I don't think your sponsor should sell his crypto. Crypto is an investment and your money in it can be taken out immediately you wants it.

johnfem321:
That wouldn’t be a problem.. he can send the money to his account in bit within a few days say $2500 per transaction.. he should explain the source of the deposit and explain fund was kept in crypto.. he should also add his crypto account deposit/withdrawal history for about 3month.

Thank you Johnstan.

Feel free to vent lol.
Don't forget to defer timely so you don't loose the admission while waiting for IRCC.
There's no harm if your visa is approved months before you resume if you defer. You don't want to have an expired loa or have your admission withdrawn before your visa is out.

Good luck

Are u sure d person didn’t sell it to fiat, send into his acct , and included all d screenshot of d crypto txn as evidence of how he got the money in his acct ?
For sum1 else whom I read his story here that left d crypto , he already showed sufficient fund for himself n accompany family for a year stay in Canada according to ircc requirement, after satisfying this requirement he now went further to show oda assets he has and the crypto investment too .
I think it was oloking post I read

Technical issue, Na Nigeria system?
Ppr doesn't guarantee u 100% and LOI also doesn't guarantee you 100% . Your final eligibility is at POE.
My pof was confirmed after dey received my pp, before counterfoil, meanwhile my eligibility is not yet completed, which means assume my pof is not valid dey go redecide their decision by rejecting the application and return ur pp.

Hi guys, I am booking flight for next year to Winnipeg; the best rate I am seeing is 650K. do you think its a fair deal?. I was hoping to get a flight around the range of 400-450k since I am booking 6 months ahead.
Any ideas/suggestions on how I can get it cheaper?
I explored and checked flight prices on Ethiopian Airline and saw for 500k plus. Also coming to Winnipeg by April. Would book by next month. However there are some hacks again to get lower prices i do see people talk about on Twitter. Days like Tuesday are good to book and others.

Hello house;
Compliments!!

@ bull striker

I understand that final eligibility is at the point of entry but in a situation whereby your passport is requested for and you get a refusal afterwards based on your course of study and your application not being consistent with a temporary stay in Canada.
I believe if an application should be refused after PPR, it should be for serious issues like medical reasons, POF and all that.
Refusal based on intended course of study after PPR Is confusing because those are the first things I believe the VO will consider.

What are your thoughts please?
Does this attached response from IRCC mean that the application is still in process or is it a generic message?
