exactly... I've said this here multiple times... why try to fix something that's not broken... if you are not experiencing any major problems or issues with your phone, why don't you just keep enjoying your phone that way?... why the need or urgent urge to update your phone when an update pops up considering the fact that MIUI is buggy? these updates sometimes contains nothing significant.. seeing issues like "I updated my phone and I started experiencing blah blah blah issues" is tiring...

Hi guys, been a while on here. Guess I've had no reason to come post, till now.

S/O to genius43.

Please what would you advice as regards replacing the battery of my note 8?

I wanted to settle for a local technician in the area. But I've realized they usually sell/use the battery with model number; like BN46 in the case of this particular phone.

I'm of the opinion that the battery that would be put in the phone if I repair at the service center would be of superior quality, from Xiaomi themselves.

Also, does anyone know if they sell battery parts at their service center in ikeja?

Thank you.

Every Xiaomi phone has battery number. Even if you open your phone now, you will see the number clearly written there.

In fact every original electronic device has part number for each of it's parts so you don't buy a wrong part when seeking a replacement.

You can ask Macbeyland or Princekiah for your battery.

Promised myself to be jejely enjoying my Redmi Note 10 pro (after all the plagues <no camera, no SIM card> affecting it and having been billed over 200k to repair it) until I'm able to get another phone and another brand for that matter. This morning when I woke up, the village people (or simply Xiaomi) decided that I can no longer jejely enjoy it. I literally watched movies on the phone till like 1am before I slept. I woke up this morning and discovered the phone no longer has audio/sound. Earphones and Bluetooth headset don't work. ‍♂️ I really jam agbako phone o .

Any repairer in Ibadan apart from Raya?

The only truth I know is you thrive on propaganda. I won't be surprised you are a front runner in Anti-Vax campaigns.

I am done with you. You can rant after this all you want.

I'll suggest you don't repair the phone. Save up the repair money and add to it for another phone, infact another brand. I also jam agbako with my last Redmi. Once it stops seeing sim network, other parts begin to fail one by one.

Macbeyland and princekiah, do you have Redmi note 8 battery in stock?

What's the cost together with fixing?

1 (or more) out of every 5 Xiaomi phones get issue after few months of usage My gf dey use the same Note 10 pro, bought a month after mine.
When we both got Note 7 then, it was her own camera that stopped working and I didn't think it made sense. Though my Note 7 eventually developed screen retention (dunno the exact problem name) issue where display from the previous app I close is retained in the background of another app I open.

People don dey pull out statistics from their ass grin

To be honest I still genuinely believe that up to 70% of problems brought up here were somehow caused by the user and they're either not saying the complete truth or don't know enough about phones to figure out what they did that led to their problem.

I've seen someone whose phone fell inside water for quite some time and he just put it inside rice and continued using his phone then a few weeks later his phone develops faults and he acts like he doesn't remember his phone being submerged in water just a few weeks prior then try to blame it on a harmless security patch update.

I've personally used 8 different Xiaomi devices and I've never faced any problem or serious bug

Shut the fück up you goat, yen yen yen.

Go to telegram, GSMArena and tech blogs and see Asians and indians complain about Xiaomi and dumping them for pixel and Samsung devices.

What you're fuckers is forgetting is most of Xiaomi users in Nigeria now were those who left from transsion devices, and we'll know when and how Xiaomi users grew in Nigeria.

After endless trolling of transsion devices as substandard device, people ran to Xiaomi.

Now you're telling that same people that their xiaomi device is getting substandard cos it's their fault, but when transsion devices were substandard it's transsion fault.

Reminderz:

that's the hypocrisy I saw on this thread... when someone points out a problem a brand has, especially transsion devices, they mock them that it is only peculiar to transsion... but just talk about an issue with Xiomi, you'll see them barking like a dog on a leash like a brand is immune from errors... Xiomi software is full of bugs which they really need to work on... even to update sef na prayer... and this is very glaring to the blind but some mumus here try to trash talk it like it's nothing but bark when it concerns transsion...

will I say they are being foolish or what? no brand is perfect... the best thing is to point out their errors so they keep improving... even transsion devices are now beginning to up their game...

the issue a particular product has like Poco M3 and redmi 9t, just imagine if it was transsion that released those defective products, dem go don hear weeen!! Your love for a particular brand shouldn't blind you from saying the truth because at the end, you'll sound sentimental and foolish.
They're already sounding foolish, even present transsion devices now are better than these current Xiaomi devices.

These are glaring for everyone with a brain to see, it's not like Nigerians are the only ones complaining about it, it's the fuckin whole world. And these idiots in this thread keep defending these plastics Xiaomi keeps rolling out

Seriously I loved Xiaomi up untill 2020 when their quality started deteriorating, I enjoyed my Redmi 6 and Note 5, that was the best years of xiaomi.
