Akorkor:https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to-remain-tier-2-t2-skilled-worker-visa/time-uk You can even switch from Tier 2 to Global Talent Visa or Scale Up and it would still count toward your 5 Years to ILR. 1 Like |

meljoe:What was your agreement with the employer? Did you agree to work for 40 hours or 20 hours? Also, are you still in school or are you done with school? We cannot advise unless we know the full picture of your initial agreement with the employer. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Amarathripple0: 9:50pm On Dec 19, 2022 |
meljoe:If you really want the job, I believe you should request for a meeting/phone call with the person who made the offer and make a case for yourself, explaining that you can only work 20 hours a week during term time and full time during breaks. See if you can reach a flexible agreement with them, particularly since you began university in January and will be finished soon (if you are a non-placement student). Inform them of the date you will finish university and be available to work full-time with them. Make a case for the 20-hour workweek and how you will perform effectively. I'm not sure what the position is, but if they seem hesitant, you could also bring up the possibility of sponsorship, which would allow you to work full-time with them (but only bring this up if they are hesitant about the possibility of flexibility). All the best |

yolkman20: Personally, I prefer car allowance because no drama choosing car and flexibility to leave the company without being in a hurry to buy a new car. Also company car will be a taxable benefit with the potential to change your usual taxcode 1 Like |

Yes I told them about it but they insisted is a full time job and I totally understand that . It’s a customer care representative type of job . I have to be online 24/7 to answer calls and it’s also remote too . I told them that I could work during breaks fully but they insisted and they don’t offer sponsorship for that role .
