Uzor Kalu was convicted and sentenced to prison for 12 years after using his office as governor and his company as conduit pipe for stealing public funds (and rightfully so). The only reason Kalu is working today is the technicality of the law which our "leaders" have learnt to maneuver.

The judge that pronounced the judgement that sent him to prison had earlier been promoted to appeal court and ought to have assigned the case to another high court judge who should've pronounced the judgement. However, with the consent of Kalu's lawyer and EFCC's ( foolishly), a court of appeal judge left the appeal court, delivered the judgement in the high court.

Long story short, Kalu's lawyers didn't fight the numerous count of charges against him at the appeal, they just challenged the sentencing judge's jurisdiction and Kalu is suddenly "discharged and not guilty until proven innocent "

Kalu is a thief and that has already been established. The so called "retrial" u claim was ordered, Kalu himself has since gone to court to prevent it.

Agreed Nigeria is just a cesspit of corruption, but u trying to play on semantics and claim Kalu was discharge get as e be.

So what exactly have they said, that makes them a step up?

However talking about diverting funds , I have issues with the fact that a sitting CBN governor is a registered member of a political party and even contested for his party’s presidential ticket before losing out. That alone is an indictment on his person .

As regards the DSS DG vs CBN governor , I don’t think it’s a funny matter o. The DSS DG is the head of our secret police and he has not only accused the CBN governor of diverting funds, but also funding terrorism . That’s some serious charge that should be taken seriously .

Whatever happens, I believe one of those aforementioned two needs to go. It’s either the DSS is coming up with trump up charges or Emefiele is guilty and shouldn’t be allowed to walk. I’m personally interested in how Buhari will handle this .
