Good morning, after 17 weeks of wait for my sister without medical update or anything, she decided to defer to the next batch but my question is that if she defers to the next batch and miraculously she gets her visa next week and she has deferred what can she do? Will she be allowed to Canada with the old admission or she has to inform IRCC after the visa? I'm confused please anyone should help?

is only wakanow website that you pay in naira booking with airfrance but there is CBN limit now on paying with card. So you pay the amount in wakanow bank account.

Call airfrance office helpline. But I think they convert in black market rate when you go to their office to make the payment.

someone had problem like you did in paying fare with Ethiopian airline which was quoted in naira. The person had to go to Ethiopian airlines office to make the payment because of CBN limit using naira card to pay online.

I'm not certain how this is done because I did not use a loan.
A lot of people here used mpower and other loan institutions so just ask generally and someone might respond.

Okay. I'm trying to apply from Sallie Mae student loan. My school is Cape Breton University. Cape Breton University is not eligible for Other loan institutions.

@mizchoco
Please since you used Sallie Mae help me out on how to go about it.

Please I have been trying to apply for student loan from this organization. I'm not a US citizen neither do I have a parmanent resident permit. But I have someone in US that can act as my cosigner. Now my question is this..
When filling it they asked me to put a US address which I don't have, please how do I go about it.?

Should my cosigner act as me and fill the entire application form.?
How did you do yours.. Please I really need your response. Thank you.

I’m going to Vancouver, by next week we can connect.

Please, About Langara college, how do you go about uploading your transcripts? I don't understand what they mean by uploading a color copy of the official transcript. They should know we do not have access to an official copy. Also, did you upload both the front and back pages of your transcripts?

This will be really helpful if you can share.

All this POF people, I guess you should ask people doing it for their UK study most of them the schools have revoke their visa, if you can’t get someone to loan you money or get a proper loan I will say give yourself some time to gather what you need. Don’t forget you will need your POF while in Canada

Good afternoon, please what’s the cheapest airline one can get? My mum is going to Calgary late January. Airline seems expensive. What Airline gives the cheapest or which one should we look to buy. Thanks

Hi Everyone, good morning and compliments.

I got my GCMS note this morning, but there was no reference to my daughter's application in it. My study permit was approved and I've gotten my stamped passport back, while they refused hers. The GCMS request was made for us both, and I even had to submit a consent letter to have her info released because she's a minor.

I haven't received any feedback for my reconsideration request for her application from IRCC yet, though raised less than 2 weeks before. I could see my spouse details on the GCMS note even though I declared He wasn't accompanying us to Canada, same with info provided about my parents in my SOP, but no reference to my daughter. It's just really annoying because the refusal was a one liner - I am refusing this application because of Asset and Financial Considerations. , and was hopeful more details will be on the GCMS note. Her application was refused 4 months before mine was approved and I submitted as a family application.

Funny thing is my available fund is more than able to cover my tuition and our living expenses, even as recorded on the GCMS notes and the portion of POF that I clearly stated will used for her expenses was reflected as others under my POF breakdown that was included in the GCMS notes.

I'm self sponsored and POF was from income and personal savings, but GCMS states no evidence was provided for income (I attached all my letter of employments, promotion letters, work ID, etc. so not sure what other evidence is required, and yet my application was approved.) Of all my educational certificates that was attached and referenced, only my last diploma from the UK was referenced, not even qualifications from Canadian certification bodies but that's their cup of tea. Police certificate acknowledged too and the only document that was stated as not clear so they couldn't review was IELTS which is optional by the way.

I've covered part tuition for 1st Semester (though my school does not require upfront payment) yet school fees was unpaid on the GCMS note, so it's quite confusing if the GCMS notes can even be trusted 100%. I submitted an updated LOA on September 4th (can't remember the exact date) but this wasn't also captured on GCMS though the last feedback they received from my school was on October 14th, 2022.

My plan is to send follow up emails/webform to IRCC and request CBSA again, and probably re-apply for her in the coming months since my resumption is September 2023, hopefully the reconsideration request would have yielded a positive result before then.

I would also appreciate other contributions please.

First things first, I’d say you should defer your admission to May entry if possible.

For some personal reasons May is not favorable, if I don’t get it this year I will have to defer to September 2023.

What can I do to get a response from ircc soonest

Dear Friends,

Compliments of the season. My younger brother who is 30 years old just gained an admission to a Canadian college.
Pls I need guidance on how to go about processing his student visa. I am scared of using agents. He has been home for years doing menial jobs and now that this opportunity has come I don't want it messed up.
His highest educational degree is SSCE.
My younger sister is based in Canada and will be the sponsor.

Please counsel/advise a brother.

Dear Nairalanders, pls assist.

While you cannot base your application timeline on another's and it is not even up to 12 weeks since you applied, I think you should not think much about it; you should instead focus on how you can shorten the timeline by submitting upfront medical examination report. This act could trigger IRCC to focus on your application, although there is no guarantee.
