Kylian Mbappe's father in 2018: “At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon but, someone at the Cameroon Football Federation charged a sum of money that I didn’t have to make him play.
The French didn’t charge anything.”

This is how terrible corruption has affected Africa! Imagine all the stars African nations would have had if they didn't ask players to bring money before selecting them to play.

Don't ever blame any player of African origin for playing for European nation.
Embolo was asked for bribe but he didn't have money so he went to play for Switzerland, he scored against Cameroon, his motherland in the World Cup and Africans came out to curse him!

Until we change our attitudes, "pay before you play", African football will forever remain where it is!

Even the great David Alaba now plying his trade for Austria suffered the same faith in Nigeria.
That's why I will even urge the ones who were raised abroad not to play for Nigeria, you can't simply reap where you did not sow.

When we say slave trade people easijy forget one thing and blame the white man, what about theur black accomplices?

Africa is a problem to itself!
If we recognize and acknowledge this 90% of our problems will be solved, otherwise we'll be running round in circles!

True talent cannot be hidden, be it Cameroon or Lesotho, the beast shall not be denied, go and look up George Weah and Abedi Pele, if you're great you're great!

Those are exceptional talent. But none achieved Champions League or World Cup status. Now place them on any European team do you not think they would have won World Cups ?

@topic,
Corruption in Africa is one of the vices drawing the contine backwards since time immemorial .

It’s this elder worship that has made us too docile to stand up to these useless elders that have destroyed our nation and made us laughing stock of the world.

And Russia dropping bombs on innocent white women and children means the saying ''Europeans are monkeys'' is totally true.

Hitler sending 6 million whites, including children, to the gas chambers means the saying ''Europeans are savage, demonic monsters'' is totally true.

America slaughtering 2 million innocent Iraqis just to control their oil industry shows the saying that ''the white man is the devil'', is totally true.

ASSWIPE.

Western Europeans killing off native Americans to take over their land.....and same in most African countries....

My elder brother played for Nepa of Lagos in those days and wanted to play for Golden Eaglet. They were training at Honda in Ota, Ogun State and Ganiyu Salami was the coach then. My brother was very close to him at the time and quite good and passionate about playing football.

Ganiyu salami asked him for a large sum of money before he could be included in the Eaglet team. Salami said he will train the highest bidder.

If not for corruption, a Namä like Major Gen. M. Buhari should be tending to his 150 barren cows.

Kylian father is right.
Corruption by military dictators from the north of Nigeria who created too many states in the north for the purpose of sucking more oil money to the north - the corrupt political structure gave rise to a Buhari as president of Nigeria. The same corrupt political structure may even lead to an Atiku to succeed President Buhari.

Black people are utterly useless! That's why nothing works in the continent. Look how one idiot make Cameroun lose this asset to France.

If I were the Paul Biya (although he's a useless old president), I would find out who that is and deal with him.
Paul Biya is corruption personified. And you yourself can't be vouched for regarding corruption. You see, corruption cannot fight corruption!

World cup? They might not, C.Ronaldo has never won it, it took Messi over 2 decades to win just one. The great Ibrahamovic never won a Champions League or World Cup.
