I called Access bank Lagos office, their customer care told me that we have to summit our new account number to our employer who will supply them with the new account for payment.

OMG!!! They shld be patient till January nah. We are on hols for now. Na wa o.

The attached was the information sent across to all the Diamond/Access bank customers email in the month of October 2022. We asked our Zonal account officer, he said such will not affect us. I tried my best to see that they take care of it, but to no avail. Someone told me that Access bank submitted the remita late to the board, that's why the delay. Let's hope that board is on it. If not, our salary will be next week, if not next year.

Wasn't given such email o, just hearing this for the first time...and we are here waiting for alert when there's obviously an issue, let's hope they grant a waiver..of all times..sad

Thanks I have gone back to check my mailbox, I found out I got the info through my email but the new account number was not sent to me through sms

Na to go board submit this account or to go straight to ministry of finance....am just having paranoia when I think of my Feb/ march 2016 with that BVN saga and now this but I do believe it will be sorted out.....

Thanks I have gone back to check my mailbox, I found out I got the info through my email but the new account number was not sent to me through sms

This is Access number 012802500 for those that mistakenly deleted their new account number/ those that didn't receive at all, call them anytime, mostly during the daytime, follow the voice promptly, and speak to customers care agent, you should have at least N200 credit, the first hundred to listen to their music and advert, and the remaining to request for your new account number, make sure you have your existing account number.

When you call, click 3 in the option that will be listed, thereafter click 6 in another option that will be listed too, to speak to an agent. While listening, emphasize patient. You can also obtain the new account number by visiting their nearby branch.

But what can we do to get our salaries?

We should collect our new account number, update it in the nominal roll, printout the information from access bank, draft a letter and send both the letter, Access bank printout information, with normal roll to the school board requesting from them to urgently supply our Access bank with the new account number as the bank demanded for our December salary payment, and onwards payment.
Also send the duplicate copy to the ministry of finance for immediate action. The affected ones need to act fast, if possible send representative school by school with some amount as transport for those who will go to both the board and ministry.

Ministry of finance is very important, I was victim of February arrears salary, but due to my timely movement, I was not affected in March that year.

One of our colleague told me that he approach the bank last month on sighting the message, and he was informed that it will not affect us the staff of Rivers state government, and that was why he felt relax last month. Also, another colleague told me that our zonal account officer called board, and he was informed that Access bank submitted their remita to the board late, that our salary will come by next week. Meaning if the information from them is true, our salary will come on 28th December, but when it fails to come, it then means that NEFT has affected us, and we need to act fast to meet both the board and ministry of finance for immediate action and payment.

For those who need their new access bank account number, do an email to ContactCenter@accessbankplc.com requesting your new/alternate account number. Provide them with your old (diamond) account number, account name and phone number. Good luck and season's greetings.

Did you print your statement of account for three months too? Please someone who have done the needful (Access bank alternate wahala) should kindly furnish us with the details and requirements used.

Print 3 months statement of account, original copy. Get Printout/slip of the old and alternate account numbers, computer number and submit at the board before Friday. Also submit photocopies of those documents to your zonal director/ account officer so it will be modified on your nominal roll. You could also submit same to room 319, ministry of finance just to avoid stories that touch.

Take it to ministry of finance at Secretariat, is either room 306 or 206. That's where the computer room is.
Don't go to the board.
When I wasn't paid due to wrong account number. That was where I rectified mine and was paid within one week.
Make sure you go with you Staff ID card, Statement of account to show that you weren't paid and the new account number printed by the bank with letter head.
Please don't go to the board, if not your money na bye bye!

Yes correct information. It was room 319 ministry of finance. Please make sure in whatever you do or go, don't forget to pay this room at ministry of finance a visit.

It was recently I found out that this Access bank alternate account affected very few of our colleagues in the month of November....but they did not mention it....they went to finance sort it out and kept it to themselves....if only they had said it out maybe...just maybe we would've taken it seriously....and not be in this mess..
