First of all...As long as nigeria imports up to 80% and higher and exports less than 20%, the naira cannot consistently remain strong...it is basic economics that even a secondary school student should be aware of. ...

Concerning your question if the election is postponed , the demand for dollar by the politicians will reduce since they will have to postpone whatever they want to use the dollars for which includes bribery...when there are less demands and higher supply, price will be forced to go down at that moment TEMPORARILY...but as long as nigeria keeps importing and hardly export. The exchange rate will keep having the same problems all the time ...and the cycle goes on an on...all these temporary demand and supply is not what makes a currency grow..it is the economy itself...the bitter pill that everyone is aware of but they are not willing to swallow it....
