The price tag thing should be encouraged, I always feel irritated when traders call outrageous prices and expect you to bargain. It's daylight robbery.

Does the price tag matter? Let's say the price per bag is N20 000 and price tag is enforced... they will have the tag... charge you that price ... but reduce the quantity in the bag. Check price... check content. Same with peteol..petrol... a fixed price per liter... price advertised and charged ... but are you getting a liter?

Nigeria has institutions created to make sure things like this don't happen but those institutions don't function. Nigerians are not only cheated out of quantity but also quality despite having paid through the roof. Buildings are collapsing because steel rods don't meet standard anymore, 12mm rods nowadays is like 10mm rods, 16mm is like 14mm and so goes other dimensions of rods. This same thing happens in every area of the Nigerian economy but the govt simply doesn't care and the Nigerian victims have learnt to adapt because there is nobody to cry to

I've seen both ends. Situations (an avenue to express self) reflects the person one really is on the inside wether rich or poor, it doesn't matter.

If you need to buy stuff like bag of rice, g.oil, etc., always patronise that big mall around you. They have functional quality control departments. They verify everything before displaying in shelves.

...and more often than not, they offer cheaper prices on almost all items. No room for useless bargains, sizing up of customers, and heartless price increments. Nowadays, the only thing I want to see is price tag and nothing more.

I have stayed in a shop that sells rice, and that's what they do. This was many years ago so it's not something new.

Daleko market as well, I've seen them do that. They'll remove up to a paint rubber using that stuff.

- I took my family to SPAR one day as a birthday trip for my daughter and we bought a lot of stuffs almost 50k/ When we got home, I discovered that some items we paid for were missing, I felt bittered and the next time we went I watched those packing my stuff with keen interest

-Recently, my wife clothing materials for me and I took it to the tailor for sowing, the tailor measured with tape rule and the clothes was short and that has always been the case because the market traders always use their standard ruler instead of tape rule
