Ballzproblem2: There's nothing wrong with Nigeria's weather! Do you prefer Canada's weather where you first have to spend 30 minutes shovelling snow in the morning before you can access your car? 4 Likes |

They would most probably cry. Going abroad, its better for poor people, the struggling guys. If you are doing very well in nigeria, dont throw it away. You live better life than those in abroad. The money they are taken abroad with them would finish after some months through paying bills. 6 Likes |

SexyBabe001: Cost depends on the route of migration. Then there's the massive opportunity cost....GENERATIONAL opportunity cost. It must be considered. OPPORTUNITY isn't only for TODAY, it's also for generations to come. Success isn't guaranteed but first there must be a viable opportunity. Have a good day. 2 Likes |

Ifakiland:Nigeria is insecure no doubt, but that's not the chief reason for the high rate of relocation. If you stay in Obudu, Nigeria, or in Mambilla, you may never experience police brutality and recklessness. Insecurity is not everywhere. Bottom line, whatever rocks your boat. But traveling abroad is not a passport to success because times without number, people have proven that you can stay in Nigeria and succeed. Hinging your success on a change of location means you are shallow-minded and you're the problem not Nigeria. 1 Like |

The main reason why people japa is so that their kids can have a better life and operate on a first world basis with no barier to success. Another is the rising insecurity in the country. That lawyer chic would probably have been alive if she was in the UK, US, EU Canada or Australia. I remembrr being robbed in traffic by some urchins I side my own car. God forbid one of the urchins was a psychopath maybe I for no dey today. No matter how naija jagajaga reach, we go still survive but can u say the same for your kids Imagine you become a billionaire in Nigeria after years and you buy your son a benz C-class or BMW would you be comfortable anytime he wana take the whip you bought for him out. Financial freedom is the ability to spend your funds without fear. 12 Likes |

With the present Nigeria of today the answer is YES, it is a very big success. With your money in Nigeria you can be killed for no reason by police, bandits, herdsmen etc. It's better you relocate to where you feel safe, and where everything is working with your money and enjoy life simple. |

There is what I call a break point. You will know when you have reach it. It's not about having money, it's when you know that you have had enough. Living in fear of being robbed or attacked by thieves. Enough of being harrased by the police. Struggling to buy petrol for your generator. 3 Likes |

Ballzproblem2: A typical average nigerian doesn't care about those things you listed. In as much as they have billions and millions and they are well protected personally. The nation can keep burning for all they care. In as much as the problems Is not getting to them. Revently on a thread someone said he has a rich friend in Abuja that the said friend hadn't had any major threat or problem In his life for the last 10years. I think we should use this case study as a measure for everyone living in the country. 2 Likes |

juman: Most people in Nigeria...over 97%... are poor. A person who is NOT poor has access to clean piped water, reliable electricity and other energy sources like PETROL, good roads, and housing that should include a flush toilet and refrigerator and clean means of food preparation....both of which require reliable and affordable water AND energy. Also should own a car or have access to safe, clean, affordable means of transportation. That is the basic standard of living for a family ABOVE poverty. Then there's healthcare and education. The vast majority of Nigerians are in poverty. I hope a time will come when the people develop a good consensus to do the right things that will make Nigeria a better place to live. That is the hope and it's all we have for now. 1 Like |

IbeOkehie: Hello Ibe, I understand your POV perfectly well but I still insist that travelling out is not cost effective especially for someone who has no backbone or fianancial help. Travelling to Dubai thats about 4-6hrs trip by air is about 5-6million both visa and ticket alongside pocket money for sometime. If you are going to Canada or UK, US etc its another ball game. We all know that travelling out is an investment but if you don't have the means, its a wasted effort. 1 Like |

IbeOkehie: A person that his or her business is doing well in nigeria tick almost all you listed. Many people with little education are doing well as market men and women. Dont sell your properties to go abroad, you will surely regret it. Where are you going to start when you reach abroad? Where? Jobless people, are those going abroad good for. They can start from anywhere. 1 Like |

1Dray: This is one of the reason I have a contingency plan. If for any reason the "foolish" masses ended up voting in another Buhari 2.0 or cronies that kept Nigeria in perpetual trap. The fleeing and exodus the country will experience will be unprecedented, so na o begin now dey ready so that on how e happen na to just activate the plan because by then, other countries go don tighten their borders and use immigration policies to make things hard. 5 Likes |
