Nchenches: Everthing about Nigeria is fraud... The foundation is not solid, building on it its almost impossible. Needs total collapsing and setting the foundation right. Unfortunately, it's not something one person or minority can do. The majority been idiots and deciding the destiny of the country therefore, the only option left is to japa 4 Likes |

At the end of the day, what is the percentage of those relocating against our entire population? Is it up to 5%? Make una let us rest with this japa story all the time. Are Nigerians the first set of people to relocate abroad? 5 Likes |

Even though your question is rhetorical but it still depend on how you view it from your own ends. Traveling abroad to some people is a way of seeing the beautiful parts of the world and as well educate themselves. Those people travel the world till death come take them home, but they must be rich enough to do that. But if you are referring to a man who work 30 days to earn 120k to 150k, my brother traveling legally to a better country is a success sir. Imagine my wife being a graduate and hardworking fashion designer could not afford to give her parents 50k without proper budgeting or asking me to come to her help. My brother her 10hrs work was what she sent them for Xmas this year and that around 100k. So to me and my family na success, but to some na cruise and education. Peace donestk: 2 Likes |

donestk:It depends on the individual and what they got where they are going to. For instance I was invited to apply for permanent residency under the Canadian express entry program. I applied and the application was approved after about one year. It granted me access to the Canadian job market and I got a software engineering job at a US company which had some of its development teams in Toronto. I moved to Toronto a few weeks after and started earning barely two weeks after while also working on some interesting process automation projects. I consider it a career progression. I don’t see it as relocation per say because if a similar opportunity/offer was available to me in Nigeria I’ll probably have been in Nigeria today 5 Likes |

Most of the rich people in Nigeria stole the money. They will want to continue to exploit the system. So they will not want to relocate. Vintage100: |

Everyone wan japaa. Yes it's good, but then again, who are we leaving the country for? The same old heads who have tried, unsuccessfully to govern this country to greatness? The whites will never come down and fix this country for us. No matter how long, we will keep complaining until we do something. The problem is Nigerians are actually the problem of themselves. We are the ones who make up the government. The day we do away with tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments, that's the day Nigeria will become a great nation. But in the meantime, let everyone be japaaing. No problem. |

My friend got his UK family visa but before leaving he wanted to hustle more for some cash at least to survive with when he get there. On his way to Ilorin to execute a project he got kidnapped, luckily he grace found him and he was freed while some people were killed. He couldn’t go on with the project again, he dusted his passport and japa immediately. Was that not enough reason to leave Nigeria ? My wife course mate in the UK always talk about her husband who has refused to join her due to his growing business and flowing income, but she was able to convinced him to join him so they could be together. Alaye got his passport, started his visa processing, but before he could finish armed guys visited him and killed him right in his house. One can die anywhere or get killed, sure ! But truth be said, the possibility is very very very high in Nigeria. So insecurities alone amounted to reasons why even rich men are relocating their families abroad. Orch1981: 3 Likes |

occfx: Until the fraudulent 36 states political structure of Nigeria is amended in a democratic set-up, the north will continue to exploit the undue large number of states it proliferated in the old northern region. Tinubu knew the fraudulent political structure as he campaigned for more than 12 years for political restructuring of Nigeria. But like a bolt from the blues, Tinubu rejected the 2014 CONFAB. The CONFAB tinkered with redressing the imbalance in distribution of states between the north and the south. Buhari came and refused to implement the recommendations of the CONFAB. Tinubu may soon become a victim of Nigeria's fraudulent political structure. A presidential candidate must win 25% of votes in 24 states. Who is the southern presidential candidate who can win 25% of votes in 24 states when north is supporting a presidential candidate? 2 Likes |

Enemyofpeace:Sit down there. Someone pulling a gun on your head and robbing you is more prevalent in shirty USA and UK. Police brutality will compete with that of Nigeria too. America is a very dangerous country. Gun violence everywhere. |

Well it al depends on the japa mode he used - if he sold all his properties and relocated then you can call it successful but if he maintained his properties and relocated. ....call it excellently successful Call it herd mentality but I would say its a way to preserve his and family's wealth and safety. donestk: |
