He is a already very successful man with lots of properties.
He should keep doing what make him successful in nigeria and become bigger successful.
One should not leave certainty for uncertainty.

how many Nigerians can afford 20 to 30million to relocate a family of 5?

How many single unmarried Nigerians can afford 8 to 10million to relocate alone?

Any Nigerian that can afford $30,000 to relocate his family abroad is not poor, so it is a sort of success when you consider the fact that Nigeria has become too unsafe for Nigerians.

Insecurity is one reason I hate Buhari and APC led government, very useless set of people.

Allow people to suffer in peace, protect the sanctity of lives and Nigerians will be glad to suffer till luck smiles on them.

But allowing kidnappers, Fulani herdsmen terrorists and known gunmen to be going about killing Nigerians at will without any repercussion is scary. It is part of the reasons many are running away from Nigeria not even economic or financial reasons angry

I couldn't travel home for this xmas because even with truck load of armed Police men, my life is not still secured, now tell me why any financially buoyant and reasonable Nigerian that cherishes his life and that of his family will stay back? angry

Thunder fire any Nigerian that votes for Tinubu and APC! angry

Nigeria should be sold.

But if people ask for self-determination, it's still your likes that will demonise them.

Stay and build Nigeria when urchins have vowed with their lives never to allow building or development of Nigeria. They did it in 2015, I know a lot of them here, and they are striving to do it again next year. They are on the mission to forcefully shove failures down our throat, so that the masses will continue languishing in poverty, hunger and starvation.
grin grin Una don dey accept defeat small small.
Call us urchins, call us bastards, that Tinubu will be your president in Nigeria, next year. God willing grin grin

In Nigeria, that man could get murdered without any investigation and nobody will be brought to justice. It will just be tagged “bandits” or “unknown gunmen” and case closed.

Electricity was discovered over 200 years ago but many Nigerians still pray for it

Where do you even start from? Nigeria is messed up, no argument there.
Exactly! Totally messed up.Your money cannot guarantee you safety.Even when with your certificate you still can't find a good job. It is appalling to see people still shouting " NEPA don bring light" when smaller nations ate celebrating ten years without light blinking. This country really needs a saviour

I honestly feel it's herd mentality. The east of getting visa is cause for worry. I know white people have found a way to benefit from migration. But I don't know. It's all theory.
I don't think it is herd mentality

Boss is this country really working as it ought to? Even the leaders with their billions want to japa.

because they believe that just at any moment the barbaric hordes they created can become unpredictable and uncontrollable and launch a surprise attack to harm their families.

2. they will be civil war in USA that will lead to the country splitting into to two, if your relatives is in USA, start prepping for his return in August, the republic and the democrat will go separately.
3. I saw a new president in Russia, Putin death will cause a lot of crisis in Russian too, I saw confusion in what Kill him.
4. Global financial crisis will hit the world, please don't invest in USA dollar, I saw the end of dollars dominant.

God will help us.

Nigeria is insecure no doubt, but that's not the chief reason for the high rate of relocation. If you stay in Obudu, Nigeria, or in Mambilla, you may never experience police brutality and recklessness. Insecurity is not everywhere. Bottom line, whatever rocks your boat. But traveling abroad is not a passport to success because times without number, people have proven that you can stay in Nigeria and succeed. Hinging your success on a change of location means you are shallow-minded and you're the problem not Nigeria.
How many businessmen became millionaires trading in Nigeria or with naira alone? Dey there dey console yourself.....odogwue bitters that's N800 in Nigeria is £30 in the uk....30x905 is N27k foreign trade in foreign currency is the real deal.....by all standard....leaving Nigeria is goal.

The mistake you’re making is assuming Naija person go remain for minimum wage abroad forever

When (even professionals) travel abroad they don’t have the requisite proper certificates to practice. A doctor needs to write certain exams and pass, a lawyer has to be called to the bar in that country, an IT guy may need certain certifications etc, so they resort to jobs requiring no qualifications until they finish their masters abroad or get the necessary certification. So las las them go pay several professors salary

The best bet is to get all your certifications and pass your exams before your travel so you can start job hunting for a professional place or even get employment before you leave. The washing scenario was the least possible case option, barring homelessness, illness etc

Talking from experience,
A professor I know just sent her daughter to university of Kingston, London... half of her school fees have been paid for as tuition deposit. She doesnt do any Job other than study, the professor is sending her 1k£ per month for upkeep....

In summary, Nigerian professors are living pretty decent lives. A typical professor have 100% chance of relocating abroad, but they don’t.... They have there reasons.....

I could remember when I was in my 300L in University of ibadan, junior lecturer that just came few weeks ago have started riding highlander... few weeks after, she went to Canada for research....
Many professors go on holiday in abroad like they are travelling inter-state....

In summary, Nigerian professors cannot be oppressed, these guys are money bags but just pretending to be broke...
You will be very wrong if you think a professional in abroad is better than them

Is this the new success or just a herd mentality?

"Relocation". It is actually escaping or fleeing. What do you expect in a hopeless situation? A country where the supposed leaders don't believe in. They can't secure their families abroad and you expect them to care about their country. There are three categories of people currently in Nigeria. Those who are actually living, those who are surviving & those who are just existing.
So which category are you?

Which century are you in ?
All you said was correct until 9 months ago.
Some Professors are begging for food now.
Most of them have gone into debts due to the unpaid 8 months salary. They have borrowed from cooperative here and there to sustain their livelihood with the hope that government will pay them for the work they didn’t do.
Nowadays, smart professors do jamajama by going to private universities to teach part time.

So America or UK where anybody can just grab a rifle, stroll to the nearest mall and start spraying people bullet. Or where you sitted on your own and someone knife attacks you. You have a higher chance of dying in America self than in nigeria..

Can we be factual for a moment? If the constant killings in southern kaduna and all forms of terrorism and insecurity was happening in UK and US the way it’s happening in Nigeria, will their government treat it with laxity the way our government treats it? I’m not condemning Nigeria as totally despicable just saying the access to good healthcare, security, amenities, respect for human rights and dignity is nothing compared to what is available in this same UK and US you’re comparing to Nigeria at the moment.
