Hello nairalanders, I am particularly compelled to pen this down as I observe my first Xmas away from nja. koife:I over get it bro! see even if na to stay indoors for UK and get a better life then so be it. In life we can't really get all we want same way we can't eat cake and still have it. Na person prayer points you dey use play so . Sincerely, I know how it feels coming from this side the atmosphere is usually electric in Naija, the food swappings, the Banger, the Journeys and Church activities and so on gives so much memories that anyone will always miss. Recently, the activities have dropped compared to growing-up, I think Technology and Internet has influenced human relationships and activities alot, where you sit-down and literally have everything you want, it's crazy bro. But no reason am o! Anyways I know say una gum hand do Xmas for me make I drop Aza relocate to the nearest Bar on your behalf 135 Likes 10 Shares |

There were notices by most businesses that they would be closed. Everyone one deserves to spend holiday at home with family and loved ones unlike in Nigeria. What you should have done is team up with fellow Nigerians organize food and shayo and have fun. I can bet my hand say you will not return to Nigeria after your studies. 141 Likes 4 Shares |

One can’t even say his mind without being bashed or asked to return back to Nigeria. Staying in Nigeria has its advantages no matter what any one says. Staying abroad also has its advantages. Live and let live. 117 Likes 16 Shares |

Find some Nigerians and mingle with or better still, use the uninterrupted electricity and WiFi and learn new things. The system is radically different from Nigeria, If you wanted a social environment, you should have gone to Brazil. If e tire you, London has four airports and it is only a 6-hour journey. I never see this kain noise from Nigerians in Australia or even the US. Honestly, from the way you people complain every now and then, e go hard una to stay in a functioning place. Worse still, you people would not join hands to make your environment to be comfortable so that you can shout as you like while having constant electricity and security. 82 Likes 8 Shares |

koife: Do you have Nigerian community in your area? Or are you the only Nigerian there? Do you attend a Nigerian church? Do you relate with fellow Nigerians? A Nigerian once told me he is lonely and bored in a city that has lot of Nigerians. When I probed him, it turns out that he doesn't want to associate with fellow Nigerians. In his words " I don't have time for Nigerians and their wahala " . I don't know about where you are anyway but what happens where I am is that the Nigerian community organize parties during this period where Nigerians gather and have fun. I and my family went to a party on Christmas day and I hosted one on boxing day. We have another one on Friday and Saturday hosted by different families. The last 2 days have been sweet. Lots of food, drinks, dance, games etc. 2 students even recreated the Townhall bala blue dance and got lots of dollars for the performance. So even in Nigeria, the fun does not come to you. You have to find it and make it happen. So my advice is know your city, know the Nigerians in your city. If the Nigerians in your city are the dull and individualistic type, you can be that person that bring them together and start forming a community that would start making things happen. Expand to other African countries like Ghana. I will be attending a Ghana organized get together on Sunday. They came to ours and we will go to theirs after all we are all Africans 127 Likes 15 Shares |

koife:See, you got to mingle with people from different countries. Nigerians , other African and white. There should Nigerian community or something in ur city. When i was schooling I never for once spend Christmas alone even my white friends will still invite me to their place... I don't know why you guys are making it seem so bad when you don't mingle . You're not there to look at beautiful buildings, you're looking for connection and I don't know why you guys are not connecting with people 23 Likes 2 Shares |
