Where are the graduates of all these institutions going to find jobs? Instead of these selfish corrupt senators finding a way to establish cottage industries to reduce the unemployment rate in the country they are all busy competing amongst themselves in setting up federal institutions in their constituencies. |

sanusideunifier: See the warped sense of reasoning shown by an average Nairalander. So Liar Obi who only decamped from the discredited PDP six months ago (when it became glaring that he would not even come third in the primaries) is now a saint. See the picture of the activities of your new found saint when he was in PDP. All of you touting Peter obituary as Nigeria's Messiah are either tribal jingoists or simply mad

clockwisereport:To reverse this massive exodus of Igbos out of the SE zone, lots of capital and social investments needs to be attracted by our representatives in Abuja. You need more than schools, hospitals, you need peace, schools, power, hospitals, roads, and a competitive environment too and we're not there yet to maintain at home what we enjoy outside the Zone. Take it from me, we're highly developed in capacity but nothing to channel these capabilities and capacities into, which leads to frustration and crime. |

Establishing universities is how they steal. Bring federal university to your community and award the contract for construction to your cronies and proxies. Each approved higher institution will be funded with atleast N3b. |

It's the average man on the street who thought education would rid him of his misery. Why should this average man, after going through thick and thin to get education, desire to enjoy the consequences of bad governance instead of seeking greener pastures? |

They can't give more than they have upstairs. This is the best they think they can do to compensate their people. Create dysfunctional institutions their own children won't attend in their respective constituencies. |

Xscape1993:uniting Nigeria is a Herculean task, tribalism and nepotism has eaten so deep in the very foundations of the country that every bill sponsored by a senator is for the agency to be sighted in his or her own village not even anywhere in the state, even if the village is inaccessible, tropical forest, swampland, mountainous, they don't care |

FalseProphet1: You didn't see well. Tinubu is committed to the wellbeing of Nigeria and Nigerians. Your pitaobi doesn't even understand governance. What was the level of his success as governor of a state with less than #150b budget at that time? Such cannot be compared with Tinubu who has handled billions over billions as governor of Lagos State. Also, Nigeria problem is Revenue. We're not generating enough revenue. Tinubu has identified leakages in the system and he's prepared to block leakages and generate more revenue. And again, Tinubu is a liberal person. He's neither a religion bigotry nor a tribalist. He's more concerned about what you have to offer. We all know that religion bigotry and nepotism were responsible for the fall of Buhari administration. This, Tinubu government would avoid. Relax yourself. |

Well spoken however the Tinubu of 2003 to 2007 is not the one you are campaigning for. His health and age has got alot to do with his performance now. And the cabal matter we suffered under Buhari will be back in a bigger scare if it turns out Tinubu truly isn't well. No be him go dey do Governance especially as the direct opposite of his person is the person of his vice. Tareq1105: |

Is it with loan money the government will use to operate those agencies? Where will the money come from to rent office spaces, buy exotic official cars, pay salaries, pay official training but local and overseas, etc come from? Money meant to solve the problems in the country is being used to settle political colleagues. People should keep voting funny characters as leaders and expect to compete with developed countries. These are the kind of things those urchins will support. Very low mental capacity to think about the future. Smh |

Re: Senate Proposes 376 New Agencies, Shuns Oronsaye Report by Fujiyama: 10:00pm On Jan 03, 2023 |
Tareq1105: ^^^ These are just claims. Anyone can say this. Tareq1105: ^^^ Be specific. In the last few days, he has weighed in on the fuel subsidy debate. But his silence on the Oronsaye report is conspicuous. And why wouldn't he be silent on a report that recommends good resource management? The man was in the UK for surgery last year. It would only be a mild exaggeration to say virtually the entire machinery of LASG senior staff moved to the UK on so-called solidarity visits. Apparently there is nothing wrong with high profile government officials leaving their duty posts to a foreign country - as long as its a solidarity visit to the APC 'national leader'. Who covered the cost of these trips? There is a reason why Bola Tinubu chooses not to comment on the likes of the Oronsaye report - but he has something to say about fuel subsidy. Something very different from what he said to get his party elected in 2015. Tareq1105: ^^^ You have to make up your mind. You acknowledge up there that the Buhari administration is a fallen, stricken government. Yet your principal, Mr. Bola Tinubu (APC national leader) has (on more than one occasion) pledged to continue the work of the Buhari administration. This is nothing but confusion. While you lecture us about Bola Tinubu's liberal, cosmopolitan nature - there are thousands of Nigerians cold in the grave - victims of sectarian and communal violence from 2015 to date. And the Buhari-led APC government (a government brought to power by Tinubu - a job for which Tinubu was rewarded with national leadership of the party) stood by and did nothing. And Tinubu said nothing - and did nothing. We are tired of the lies and hypocrisy. The APC has failed and should go. |
