May 1 2019 left Lagos to uyo as a result of heart break and chaos in my life. That was the lowest point in my entire existence... had fear for the future but like they say what the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around for my good. What i couldn't achieve in over 30 years in lagos i achieved two years in Uyo Akwa-Ibom state . Started my dream career with an ngo, started and finished my masters degree, got landed properties, achieved financial freedom, met amazing people etc Thank God for ordering my steps. Truly what God cannot do does not exist Awka-Ibom ayaya Will never trade that state for anything... My resting place 5 Likes 1 Share |

DenreleDave: In PH there is no job unless you want to be a trader... And house , food are expensive except transport to some areas are cheaper but damn no job... You might be lucky if you get a contract for building projects or so and that's if you have connections... They will tell you it's because of so many schools surrounding PH... Another thing is if are not financially boyant then you are finished... And I forgot be careful of one way drivers... They love that in PH and be careful of cultist, thugs and petty theft... They litter all around PH... Ask anyone... I stay around chinda axis close to Ada George and I can tell you what's up |

You were the one jumping into conversation you didn't understand, oponu. This goat was talking a state when what I was simply comparing was the specific area where I am to other cities I have also lived. But the fool brought in Delta better than Edo when where he lived by explanation is asaba. Look little boy, go argue with your mates or probably your father. You have no sense. Pig |

Marriage took me from Lagos to PH and I regret it. Few jobs with poor pay is what is available. No connection, no good job. I am in the medical field yet the average pay here is 60% of what is paid in Lagos. My career took 2 steps backward within the past 2 years of living in PH. The only good thing in PH is the transportation, traffic free road and low transport fare compared to Lagos. If you have money, you will enjoy PH. 2 Likes |

BarrElChapo:All those tales you hear of "sit-at-home" isn't as serious as it seems on the media. This is coming from someone living in Imo State. We go to work and any other activities on Mondays. The only issue is that a few miscreants took advantage of the sit-at-home to cause mayhem, but isn't security an issue everywhere else? |

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria, and the most densely populated. To put into perspective how small Lagos is, Toro local government, just one of the 13 LGA's in Bauchi state is bigger than Lagos twice. And because Lagos has a major airport, the formal capital, a seaport, and a major internal economy, it's stress level is off the roof. And oh, making things more expensive as well. 8 Likes 1 Share |

pansophist: Waoooooo Toro lga is bigger than lagos? Is it lagos state as a whole or just lagos island? Because lagos as a whole from ikorodu to badagry is quite big for a local government though I understand the north has a big land mass. Niger state is bigger than the whole south east and that is very crazy even though south east has far more population |

emmaodet: Lagos as a whole bro. Lagos is roughly about 3000 km sq, while Toro lga is roughly about 7000 km sq. Lagos is small bro. How about Niger state that is bigger than Lagos about 20 times? Now you understand what Peter Obi meant when he said that lands are just wasting in the North. Make I shock you small. Niger state for example is bigger than Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg combined, but Netherlands is one of the top 3 exporters of food globally. That tiny Netherlands can feed whole Nigeria if we open our market for their products, peak milk is an example. And Toro lga is not the only one bigger than Lagos, there are more, like, a lot. Empty land wasting away. 11 Likes 4 Shares |

shagamite: Onikolobo @themayor4542 and @Greatdand007 Yeah For someone born in Lagos too. I do come to visit oga back then, I spend a week or more.it was refreshing. Na marriage brought me to ABK. So after staying for few months at a go. It became very verrrry boring. But for someone who has gone thru the hustling and bustling of Lagos. So I learn to spice up my life, home and marriage. I miss my friends and the fun sometimes but I can't deal abeg. I can't spend a night in Lagos again. There are various opportunity and businesses in ABK. |

kinah: It’s no secret that the stress level of Lagos is very high. However, of what use is Abeokuta’s less chaotic atmosphere if it doesn’t put money in one’s pocket? The bitter truth is that there are no jobs in Abeokuta. Except if one decides to settle for petty business. But even that itself doesn’t do so well because of the fact that the residents of the city have very low purchasing power. So where does that leave us? Just increased poverty and hopelessness. The question again is; of what use is the calmness and serenity if it doesn’t put money in the pockets. Though it needs to be said that those that work in private sector and are paid the same wage and salaries with those in Lagos are the ones truly enjoying Abeokuta. 1 Like |

pansophist: Na wa oooooooooooo At bolded ....... that means these countries are really really small. The north is really trying in terms of agriculture. There is a market i go in the north, they always bring grains like maize, soya beans etc to the market in trailers all year round. All year round and i do wonder who and where do they farm this massive crops? despite all these crops being done manually and not tractor. |
