Are u aware that this loan sharks are just taking advantage of the economic hardship in Nigeria to reap people off? Do you even understand that it's an act of criminality to give someone a loan at 50% interest within 7days. They annoying part of it all is that these companies are owned by Chinese!

...but no One was ever forced into taking a LOAN. They're free to even charge a 999% interest rate. You people are funny - You take something, then default to agreement.

Okay thank you so very much, I will not borrow to pay them and whenever they calls I will pick their call and assure them that I would pay, or better still I will take one month extension until I finally sold my TV to pay.

I really hope that they won't debit my other account, because I have money for contributions from people there.

I don't think they can exercise GSI mandate yet.

I'm tempted to say "I don't blame them" because MOST Nigerians are good at defaulting. Can't recall how many times I've had to cancel debts owed to Me. To the extent When they ask, I tell them I wouldn't give them. I don't bother telling a LiE that I don't have.
MOST HUMANS default on loans
It's a worldwide phenomena not a Nigerian thing
That's why USA is helping out with student loans
Same reason little kenya ,botswana and Tanzania chased every loan shark out
That agberoism and thuggery is accepted here doesn't make it legal to insult a person for defaulting

Na only fairmoney and palm credit I dey deal with. The new method they employed in getting their money back is liking ur ATM card with their app,so anytime one defaults they can debit u straight from ur acct. They re now smarter. Na palmcredit did that for me..dem deduct 5k from from my acct out of d 15k I dey owe them.. I shaperly withdrew my 4k balance from my bnk

Is it only the account that you linked with your atm that they can debit? Or they can also debit your other bank accounts linked to your bvn? Please respond.

The problem is people would still borrow money from them, then come online to cry victim. If everyone stopped patronizing them, they'll shut down. It's that simple.
Nigerians dont just like repaying loan, thats why most banks went under, if they dont do it this way their business will collapse. Just lend money to 10 people, 9 must default the payment terms with one reason or the other.
One went and I collected my money behind my back, when I asked he said that he used it to pay rent that things are very hard in Nigeria.

He said he will pay a fifth of the money, i told him to pay me half in the first payment, he said that he dont have money that he has to feed his family.
I know a lot of people who has collected money from these people and has made up their mind not to pay them .Nigerians are bunch of ruthless, religious, ungodly people especially when it comes to issues of money

Naturally, I do not like owing at all, so I once patronized one of these loan apps, I got a phone from them in which I was made to pay in instalments. I cleared the said amount about two months before my due final payment. After then, they kept calling & texting, praising me that I was such a loyal costumer. They kept luring me to go for a financial loan from them, gave me juicy offers but I kept turning them down. I hardly borrow. However, things got really tight for me at a point this year, I had tried many options but there seemed no way, then I remembered my darling loan app. I went through their offers, as a good old customer, they were willing to give me 88k even as a first timer (for the cash loan) based on my "excellent" past record. While going through the app, I wanted to check the low interest rate they were always promising me, I wasn't at the last stage of application, suddenly I got an alert of 88k. These people like me o, I thought to myself until I checked again to see the interest. I insulted their ancestors in my mind from my heart. Fast forward, my dear loan people sent one very terrible sample of WhatsApp message they had prepared to send to my contacts if I defaulted. This was like two days to the d-day. Omoh, that night, I look for money settle them jejely. From then on, I paid twice in a month sometimes. I will never try any of those loans again, no matter the hailings and enticement. If you owe, please pay, but don't go borrowing from these guys if you're one who doesn't pay back loans, simple.

gotta feel for these people... I was once their customer like 3 years ago until they did me dirty, although I paid back tho.. but I vowed to have my revenge. Some idiots texted me about some loan whatever and asked if I was interested, I went to do a due diligence on the app but I couldn't find it on play store and they don't even have a licence from CBN to operate, I sha took the loan to repay in 7 days.. on the 7th day, they started with their calls and threat. I sha paid them and borrowed again.. this time, about 5 other sister app of that loan contacted me so I borrowed from all of them, lol.. I went to refuse them permission from accessing my contacts, location and the likes just immediately I borrowed.. on the my due dates, they called and called and called.. issuing threats and all but I returned their threats saying if any of my contact should inform me of any loan app calling them, they will have themselves to blame.. it got a point they began to beg me pay.. I have blocked all their access to reach me, I blocked all the numbers they use to text me.. I deleted the app and they can't even move my money from my account..

How is it possible that they can't touch the money in your account, it's this in anyway possible??

Don't you agree to the payback conditions before receiving the loan? Why focus on measures the loan company take instead of paying on time as agreed? You can't keep your end of the bargain then just be prepared for the consequences. Smartness did not work.... so we complain.

Don't mind him, ignorance is a disease. Some people are even criminally minded - they never wanted to repay the loan in the first place. With bvn and nin there's no hiding place. If you take a loan from anyone, you're under a moral and legal obligation to pay back. Interest-free loans (mostly propagated by shariah-inclined financial institutions) are better alternatives to loan sharks, but some people are blinded by religious prejudice to take advantage of it.
Please tell me what loan sharks would do to your BVN and NIN if you don't repay a loan?

Don't take the loan if you can't adher to terms and conditions. No one is forcefully being coerced into taking a 50% interest loan. This is more like a case of paying 2m for a rent. when rent is due, tenant goes into defence mode saying 2m is too high, did the landlord force the tenant in the first place?

You enter Mr Biggs chop rice and chicken, you were aware of the price of their food before eating. After u chop finish you talk say their food too expensive say u no go pay. Does that make sense? If the rate is too high, leave the loan company and go get loan from friends and families,it's not a rocket science.

Nigerians will see fire, put head inside cone still dey complain, chai!!!

People wey dey even borrow friends and family money without interest, dem no dey gree pay back. Go check eye-opener for Instagram dem full there. Nigerians are mean people.

You have said it all

You are a thief, well the heart of man is desperately wicked. Why borrow when you know you can't pay within your due date. Why not live within your means? Why would you allow a loan shark who you know is bad defame you. They didn't force you to pay, alot has borrowed money from me and not pay, some bought goods which they promise to pay later and they won't. If you know them as illegal loan apps why not borrow from your bank, shebi you know they have no access to your bvn that's why you borrowed their money with evil at the back of your minds to defraud them. Later you will say the govt, nation, leaders are fraudulent but you yourself are you not fraudsters. Two wrongs cannot make a right! Walk in the right ways and do good

This isn't right. But Nigerians love borrowing without paying back. If you don't want the embarrassment from them then don't borrow from them after all they did not put a gun to you head neither did they go to your house. You went to them so pay up your debt.

I believe, it is because you guys allow them.

This is a clear case of slander and libel, if they calls and also post those things.

I understand that, most people who borrow from these sharks do that because they were temporarily down on their lucks and may not have the resources to pursue a slander/libel case.

However, our young lawyers instead of idling away doing nothing, they should sense the gold mine opportunities here and take these cases pro-bono, then split the payout when they win.

This is exactly what happens abroad, lawyers scan internet, companies, etc looking for winnable cases like these and then start looking for injured parties and use them to file class action lawsuits.

This is an opportunity to make money, fame and clean up this industry for young and upcoming lawyers who just graduated from law school.

part of the condition of collecting their loan is that you give them access to your phone contact. you sign off on that and give away your privacy. thats how they get access to your contacts. inasmuch as what the loans apps do is wrong, you guys that take loans from them are also complicit by being so careless in signing away your privacy because of loan. they tell you these things before you sign and am sure you like many others dont sit down to think of the implication of what you are signing before you sign. go to any court, you cant defend yourself because you signed
