I don't support failure and I condemn RF forces when the need arises. Russian Su-35 and Su-30 have won every air battle Russia has engaged in. IDK what you mean by air superiority, Russia has taken out 50%of ukrainian energy systems. Despite flying several SEADS in Vietnam we know the kind of losses USA suffered during Linebacker II

You have said it all. I thought Russia's approach to the invasion was strange too until I realised that most people don't even understand their strategic objectives. Russia never considered it an invasion right from day one, but a military operation more like what they did in Georgia in 2008. They would advance deep into the country, surround the capital and force the Ukrainian govt to agree to their terms of be overthrown. Unfortunately, they walked into a perfectly laid trap. Years of western support in training weapons and finance, coupled with decades of Russian vilification made sure this objective failed. This explains why thousands of Russian soldiers were sitting around kyiv not even knowing what to do. Also, the more Russia tried to explain what they were trying to do, the more the western powers portray images of a massive invasion, riling up pity and support for Ukraine and hatred for Russia. It took months for Russia to reverse these mistakes but you can see that things have finally changed. Russia could still have take. Ukraine if they wanted, but at catastrophic human losses. I believed US and co could not have imagined how lucky they were. They got so lucky that they got carried away and became overconfident. The only problem was that sanctions are not working and instead of going down, the Russia economy has remained resilient and continues to support the war effort. Also, the villificatiin of Russia did not work on non western countries and Russia has forged new allies whilst other countries started undermining the US. It is a stalemate at this moment but you can see clearly that Russia has regained the initiative.

You are very funny. Russia took out many long range radar systems ukraine had at the beginning of the war. Ukraines has lost 21 SAMs now. The invention of mobile SAM systems revolutionized warfare. How many SEAD mission did the US fly in Vietnam? How many did they fly in Yugoslavia? When US made the mistake of flying strategic bombers over Vietnam during Linebacker II we know what happened. With mobile SAMS it becomes very difficult to destroy enemy SAMs especially when the enemy knows you are coming. The reason ukraine was able to stage the kharkov offensive was that Russia was very low on troops, the bulk of their combat capable boots were deployed to Kherson and Donbass. Before condemning the Russian Airforce, remember that it's the Airforce that staged very risky operations. During the Zaporozhye and Donbass offensive, these guys were flying 100-200 sorties per day. Remember how they took hostomel. Intotal they have flown 6000 sorties for very low losses. I think the losses in both helicopters and jets total 115. Out of that number only 100 were lost in active combat
