From what I have seen, I think he is not tactical, and especially not bold and inventive enough. When you are playing badly, you need a manager who is bold enough to make strong decisions and try new things.

But I have a feeling Potter is weak, doing the same thing over and over, thinking things will change. This is important, seeing that he is doing the exact same thing TT did, but expecting different results.

I expected to see a radical change, new training and set up during the world cup gap to transform the side.... but I see even though he got a life line, he's completely wasted it. He just went to a back 4.

For instance, it's clear to see that Pulisic and Sterling are not creating enough, but I think Potter is afraid to cut their minutes and try something new. He has Hutchinson and Hall sitting on the bench game after game, and he's there probably shitting his pants, wondering what Sterling and Pulisic might feel about not playing in the game.

Play Chukwuemeka, or Casadei, or even Hall in midfield.....just something for a change.

I fear he's not the type of manager you give a long term project to.

Rodri would never hide from the ball, he can ride players off his back regularly and controls the ball in order not to be exposed on counterattack, and he has body strength to claim the ball in duels, long legs and height that limit his weakness only to foot races which Kyle Walker is kept back as a safeguard against. Remind me Spurs position in relation to ours again.
