Don't mind that Brennan Johnson lad. Deserves 49 cane lashes since that nonsense happened in the 49th min. Absolutely played against the team in that moment. BascoVanVeli: 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: I am thankful I am not the only one who sees komekn's take as clownery. I mean what the hell. Always using words such as "misrepresentation" and "disinformation" to run silly agendas when he is the one ditching out half truths on a consistent basis and always trying to downplay good stats or good performances. Koulibaly trended yesterday on twitter "for the wrong reason" specifically because of Awoniyi's duels with him. The fight Awo gave Big KK all game was outstanding. Anyway, I am pretty sure his dad must have been like, "Omo dada, you are the true son of your father. We Awoniyis are warriors..." But the mum go dey check: "Son, hope you aren't hurt" Pic below is Awoniyi with his parents yesterday. Few reports say it was the first time they were watching him live in Nottingham. No wonder. 8 Likes 1 Share

Osimhen and the Neapolitan Invincibles: The Only Unbeaten league side in the Euro Top 6 leagues PSG lost yesterday to 2nd placed side, RC Lens. This means that Osimhen's Napoli are the only standing unbeaten side in 22/23 League football across the Top 6 European leagues. Next up for Napoli: A date with Inter Milan on Jan.4 at the San Siro. Will they extend their unbeaten league streak? Time will tell. 6 Likes 1 Share

Blueelf: I said that particular statistics about number of shots in a match , says NOTHING. Statistics without context are largely indicative. Because a players could maybe had 100 passes in a match but they were all sideways and or to the keeper. And another players had 25 passes that were either through balls or forward passes that resulted in a win for his team. But the statistics will not show that . You really have to watch the whole game and then converge the stats with individual and collective performance. |

TheSuperNerd: EPL is far superior to Seria A that's a fact. The only team to beat Napoli this season is what ❓ VO destroyed Liverpool at home in the Champions league, but did not score, in the 4-1 destruction of Liverpool. How many games has Napoli won in recent years away to Premier league clubs in the Champions league ❓ You love to muddy the waters and EVADE the topic and lower the level of discourse with petulant nonsense claim's. What does Tega Abraham have to do with this subject ❓ beyond to suit your false narrative he hates Nigerian players. Critical appraisal of players without unnecessary hype is not HATE. 1 Like |

Muda Lawal had 86 appearances with 12 goals as DM for eagles. He was honoured with Africa sport ambassador by ASJU and hold the record of playing in five successive afcon 76,78,80,82 and 84.He remain the best DM from Nigeria based on my opinion. 2 Likes 1 Share |

You are still crying. Tammy Abraham has everything to do with this because I can bet 50 dollars you won't make the downplay remark you made if his name appeared on such a list. Your English bias always manages to shine through both via said and unsaid utterances. Your insinuative Angles always give you away too. A list that world-renowned Stats site, Squawka, thought it wise to compile because it is a list consistent for the most parts with the several of the best goal Scorers in 2022. Mbappe is on that list. He recorded the most shots whether be it on target or off target and he also finished the year as the guy with the most goals in the Calendar year for Club and Country combined. The list is simply an indication of the how many shots several of the top marksman record which can be referenced alongside their actual goals output. A simple Stats reference is all it is but your grouse is because I only pointed out that Victor made the list in the company of other Elite shooters whose goal scoring stats reflect why they shoot more often. And enough of the EPL "far superior" argument. Just rubbish. EPL is only more intense and more pacy. The Italians still defend better than the English league and keep tactically disciplined lower blocks for the most parts compared to the English who play with high lines/mid blocks. Despite all the pace and intensity of English sides, Osimhen has always excelled against EPL sides in Europe. He always seem to have it easy against English sides. That's facts. He has always had them on toast. From Chelsea, to Leicester and now to Liverpool. He will shine in England and turn it into the marshlands league if he steps into the league. That Boy was built for England so better pray he doesn't come because when or if he does, England will have two Striking monsters to contend with. Finally, you don't critically appraise anything. All you do is hate and hate and hate especially on Indigenous-born Naija lads and it is disgusting. Additionally, you also selectively and manipulatively present half truths and deliberately misinform on our lads. Your so called "Critical appraisal" once put Osimhen as a lad who won't walk into the Feeder sides or U23 teams of most championship teams well, there goes your appraisal, Mr Komekn. Some appraisal expert, you are. komekn: 1 Like 1 Share |

Stop this man. Stop minimizing the importance of stats with big-big phrases like, "not conclusive", "Just indicative" blabla. I mean what in this world is conclusive? If anything accounts for over 70% of your success, it's conclusive enough. You can be all over the place looking for the hidden variables that form the remaining 30%, the rest of us would focus on the larger 70%. komekn: |

Kog45: My angle is these records needs to be in the open regularly. Like a "rub it in" way, just how the europeans do their own. A player doesn't need go to the record book to find out, the media are doing that every year already. I agree with you on the best DM. Like back to my point up there, just like how history is in the country, these things need to get widespread focus. Cameroon sef still dey rub in Roger Milla even if the whole world has caught on, they didn't stop. |

daveP:Yes daveP i got your point well... till today Cameroon believe Roger Milla still the best and even Samuel Eto agreed,no debate.Thomas Nkono rated all time best goalkeeper in Cameroon,no argument but in Nigeria reversed is the case.We don't remember or appreciate our yesteryears players,we believe they are not good enough.I remember calling Rufai,Agbim upgrade.I can say it anywhere that we have not got winger like Segun Odegbami.Stephen Keshi remain best CB in Nigeria history.Muda Lawal remain my best DM and I can only compares Emma Amuneke to Adokiye Aimesemeaka but I will pick Adokiye. The ex players that people still rate are Yekini,JayJay Okocha,Kanu and good Enyeama is getting good review now as all time best keeper but fact remain we have some ex players to be celebrated but there is no platform for people to know much about them, imagine Pele came down in the 70s but many soccer fans don't even know just like Muhammed Ali in Nigeria in the late 70s. |
