The Labour Party (LP) on Monday urged leaders who are passionate about rescuing Nigeria from its current hopeless state to emulate former President Olusegun Obasanjo who endorsed Peter Obi as the best choice for the country in the 2023 general elections.

Obasanjo announced his support for the LP candidate in a letter titled, “My appeal to all Nigerians particularly Young Nigerians".

The letter sparked reactions across rival political camps, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) describing it as a ‘worthless’ political move, adding that it would not affect the ambition of its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also described the endorsement as Obasanjo’s personal opinion.

However, speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Chief Spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), Dr Yunusa Tanko described the parties as hypocrites wondering why they were running after Obasanjo and paying him visits when they believed his endorsement is worthless.

" If he ( Obasanjo) is not valuable and his endorsement is worthless as they claimed, why were they running after him? PDP, APC and others went to him".

"He has appealed to the Nigerian youths to vote for Peter Obi and described him as the best among the presidential candidates. That is the most valuable legacy of former president Olusegun Obasanjo and all the other leaders who believe in rescuing Nigeria should follow his line of action" .

Every Nigerian knows among the top 3 contenders for Presidency, Peter Obi is and remains the best.

In terms of propensity to perform:
Obi is like MTN network
Atiku is like Glo network
Tinubu is like Etisalat network

Choose the network you feel is the best for calls & data.

NB: Some people will try to rephrase the above to suit it for their own candidates

Truly PDP and APC are hypocrites here.
U ran to Obasanjo for endorsement
U didn't get that
U turned around to portray his endorsement as worthless
The question now is why u were after a worthless endorsement?

Obi goes nowhere, it is easier for tinubu to stop bedwetting than Obi to win 2023 elections

Obi will drop out of the race latest January 18

Atiku is coming

lol. If only Obj had endorsed Oga tinubu's useless APC party, these parasitic urchins wouldn't have let us hear words, due to their praises of Obj to high heavens.
Only insane citizens can vote for APC , that has proven time without number, their inability to secure their lives, from the privileged terrorists.
presently, IDP camps are contesting in numbers, with schools across the nation, yet this APC government behave as if all is well, and nigerians are living fine.

Nigerians are amazing. I can't wrap my head around the fact that some people with a straight face are promoting a guy who couldn't run a state as the best candidate to run a country.

Let elders in his geopolitical zone including Charles Soludo support him first, then they should stop killing one another in order not to put reduction in the numbers of people who are to vote in that region and finally, arsonists burning PVC cards and INEC offices in the region should as well be brought to book and with that, victory is sure for us the supporters of good thing.

Up Obi, up Nigeria youths, up Nigeria!

Pressing neck is the highest version of vavulawnce.. obj knew tinubu and Atiku very well, he even interacted with them and Peter obi and decided that the policy of Peter obi is achievable and endorsed him..he knew that tinubu is a drug baron and such character will be dangerous to our country, his policy will weaken the agencies that fight against drugs and corruption because he is both corrupt and into drugs, then Atiku he even condemned in his book as a serial thief will never got his endorsement above peter obi ..who knows if he supported Atiku in 2019 due to obi his running mate...everyone who is free from religious cum ethnic fanaticism, knows that peter obi is young and less selfish than the rest of presidential candidates....and so the best for now ,I believe that from him ,we can set a knew barrier for anyone desiring to be president..eg that candidate don't need to steal billions to use it for election.. that integrity, humility, compassion and less greediness is all u need if Nigerians will vote for you
