Hmmmm.... didn't Africans know and been using this route to South America hundreds of years ago? ... and yet experts been scratching their heads wondering why similar ancient pyramids and structures found in Africa are also found in South America. In all these "crazy adventures" ... that will not be risked by any "reasonably sensible person".... I learn one thing .... Africans have always been in all parts of the world because of this adventurous spirit.
On them being welcomed and given such treatment by the locals and government .... one wouldn't easily understand that to the Blacks in that community ... cut off from Africa for hundreds of years.... it is about reuniting with their roots.

Happy new year. There are some impoverished countries that still maintain stance for good names. Nigeria just deemed it fit to be an exception in everything.

The more stamps you have on your Naija passport, the better it gets to get visas to other countries.

Flight is about $1k and you must have minimum €1k euro with you as BTA. It is visa free but there is an immigration form you need to fill online to notify them and pay like €30 or 50. Good luck
do they actually ask at point of entry to see the $1k?

I will advise you to use an agent and don’t do it yourself, you can’t pay more than 150k to 200k to agent to apply on your behalf. Reason is that many people get it wrong doing it themselves. SA is a good country I lived there for 4 years it’s better for freelancers compared to Nigeria. It is Europe in Africa. When you get to Cape Town you will understand

Where in SA is safe? I fear the high crime rate so much

If Brazil is so wonderful, 90% of Nigerians living there will not be risking their life and freedom smuggling drugs back into Nigeria.

Let’s keep communicating here so that others can learn. Mind you I’m not an agent and not ready to introduce anyone to you but I can always help you if you need information. Egypt is very cheap incase you want to try it and it’s easy to get permit. Very cheap luxury accommodation and it is good for freelance too

May God bless you for sharing this info/knowledge publicly for others to learn

You just have to apply the normal way but make sure you have at least one travel history even if it is Western Africa country. I don’t advise using agent but if you are using agent make sure they are genuine and not scammers. The least agent can charge you for non appearance Egypt visa is 350k. And when you arrive there you can just spend like $100 to get permit

When I arrived São Luis, Maranhão on December 6th, I met a Ibo, a Ugandan at the airport. He was returning from Africa.

He asked if I spoke English and that's how our friendship began. He's married with kids in Brazil.

We exchanged contacts and he later introduced me to Muctarr, who is from Sierra Leone.

I interviewed Muctarr, and he told about the crazy journey he took to make it to Brazil from Sierra Leone, and about the miracle that saved them from dying in the sea.

They ere about 25 Africans from different countries. He said there were like 3 Nigerians in the group.

He talked about how they were treated once they got to Brazil, and how the government helped to get them on their feet. He also talked about the Brazilians and what he likes about Brazil in general.

He gives advice to those thinking about making the same journey.

Ok. Since one is a digital nomad or remote worker, it doesn't matter about how commercial it is. Your customers are online anyway

For your information, Africans have been traveling to and fro America for thousands of years before Christopher Columbus's great grand parents were born. Even today, there are actually many indigenous black tribes in South America who were already in South America before slavery. Someone like footballer, Pele, could actually be from an indigenous black south American tribe that has already been in America before slavery.

In fact, Christopher Columbus was in West Africa for research in about 1484, shortly before his voyage to America, and he said in his diary that he "kidnapped" six people from the coast of Guinea (either Guinea Conakry or Guinea Bissau) and took them to Europe. Of course, to show him the routes to America because the story of Africans from Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia, even Mali crossing the Atlantic ocean to America is as ancient as time. Columbus visit was the precursor to the Atlantic slave trade but that's a different story.

Unfortunately, you'll never hear that in school because through the so called education, white people determine what we should say, believe, know. You've been lied to that our ancestors were all lazy and primitive people waiting for white people and Jesus for enlightenment. And that's how our lives have been run down as a people. I've thought about it and I can tell you for sure that it's actually now that we're dumb as a people but our ancestors weren't dumb. Our ancestors competed very well in their time but it was based on innocence and not to go rob someone else in another land and take what doesn't belong to them. Our ancestors crisscrossed the America's and all the Caribbean islands without robbing the natives.

Africans have been crossing to and fro the Atlantic ocean to America when white people were living in caves.

If anybody is interested in more information, you can find it in the book: they came before Columbus - Ivan Van Sertima. He provided vast bibliographical sources to prove it, including documented crossings in 1968 or thereabout, just like the subject matter of this thread.
