The state of insecurity in Nigeria demands that everyone provides a level of security for himself, a gun, a machete, or whatever, and still pray for God's protection, pastor's are supposed to go about with bodyguards, I've seen Imams in Abuja, where I live go to mosque with police guards, today, there would have been no single Christian in southern Kaduna if some of them were not armed, same thing with Jos, Jesus never thought his disciples not to arm themselves, or not to defend themselves. So many Pastors who are of the opinion that God will protect them, were careless, and they have been killed, whereas they could have done the little they can do and God will do the rest, it's for the sake of security that Jesus when he was sending out the disciples, sent them out in twos, a pastor's wife was beheaded in kubwa while on morning cry, if she was accompanied, she would still be alive today. Many Christians have died needlessly because of this same ignorance.
